9680mic_20.jpg[/img]Was wondering if any one has an idea about what this Epi LP is all about. I picked it up used the other day . Looks like its Korina back , and a maple neck.

It has EE04***** serial but is built like the MIK guitars .

As in the scarf joint is down around the third fret not up on the head stock, and the back is not veneered!?

I got it for 300$ with the case , the owner didn't know much he simply called it a custon colour IDK. I like very much no fret wear to speak of everything electronic wise functions perfect and it plays well sounds pretty good to boot.

Thanks in advance

Ed sorry about the lack of pics. don't understand why they don't show any ideas?

I have always liked and owned a semi. I have had a Sheraton II since 99 Nice guitar I put Gibson 57 classic in it.

I would love to get the new LTD Casino one day hope to come across a used one some time.

With LP for some reason i grow tired of them quick and give them up but I thionk this will be a keeper . It works well for me a little less muddy sounds than the other Epi LP I have owned . May be because of the maple neck IDK .

Cheers.

Difficult to see from the photos (back shot is VERY small) but I'd take a guess that the body is Nato. It looks very similiar to Genevieve (my LP Std in Natural) but with cream guard and rings plus nickel/chrome hardware rather than gold. Sort of Epi's take on the Gibson Blonde Beauty.

Very nice guitar - congrats

Welcome to 'The Dark Side' fenson...

That is one handsome LP you got yourself there [thumbup]

Thanks again all LOL yes I have been in and out of the dark side for quite some time . I also have a 99 Sheraton II bought new in 99. I have had a couple of Epi LP's in the past but never bonded with them , but always missed the idea of owning one . As far as strat gas goes i am done with that .. I think ! Got it cut down to 4 strats and 3 teles. The LP is a nice change and didn't cost me a arm and a leg. =D>

Thanks U could be right . It is odd though the top looks in the pic like Nat. But it seems to be some Trans cream colour IDK hard to explain. The other things that are different are the lack of veneer on the back and the scarf join. Oh and the neck bing maple not Mah. Is yours non-veneered and have a maple neck as well?

Must be the other way around about which is a take , the BB Gibson came out in 07 , my Epi is an 04 [woot]

Thanks

The maple neck and the natural finish (I know what you mean with the colour but it's what Epi call natural as opposed to Gibson where it is woody, if you get what I mean. I think it's the effect of the heavy poly finish.) plus the cream pup surrounds and scratchplate all point to a BB replica. I know that, technically, the BB name was given to a special GC run from 07 but they produced versions with exactly the same spec (maple neck, etc) in the mid/late 70's (Norlin era).

Mine's got a mahogany neck and has a Honduran Mahogany veneer on the back. Actually to my mind the veneer spoils the look of the guitar as the Nato body is really gorgeous and, although 3 piece, is really well matched.

Epi LP's in Natural seem to be pretty rare and Std's are rarer still so welcome to an exclusive club (and if you ever decide to sell her and don't give me first shout I'll hunt you down and force you to listen to me playing smoke on the water, with one note wrong, forever!!! [biggrin])
