I always use Fedex.But I can fully empathize with your anticipation-I had to wait 10 long days for my John Lennon '65 Casino and I was worse than a kid waiting for Christmas. Hey if you don't pay for expedited shipping (which I sure as hell don't do)you just have to keep looking at that tracking report day after day and allow the heart to grow fonder... I have a quick fix for that G, I have the phone numbers for the UPS and Fed Ex drivers and they have mine; it cost me a few 6packs but I am always on the top of their list to drop off items.... Its a old way to do business I learned in the Military; people always get motivated for a 6pack of their fav beer. I'll have to get his phone number, thats a good idea as it wouldn't be that difficult because their warehouses are only about 10 miles away. Well that brown truck finally got here! This guys puts the customers package in a small clearing behind a hedge, yes there is a little bit of snow, but as the driver said in his defense its the middle of winter and the snow isnt melting, the item is packaged inside of its retail package and then inside of a UPS box. The customer ever so rudely films the guy and harasses him for doing his job saying its being brought to the public and is going to put the video on youtube, and has obviously blocked comments and ratings because his video is a crock of crap, sorry you were taking too long beating off and didnt answer the door quick enough. Betcha he would have complained if UPS left a note stating they couldnt deliver and the guy had to goto a UPS location to pick up his package as well, probably would have said something like "why didnt you hide it in the bushes..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1qUd9na_PQ These idiots leave a note on the door saying leave the package with the neighbors? HAHAHAHA are you stoopid? Its not the responsibility of UPS to drop your package off to a different location on the waybill, heck when a trucking company wants to deliver one of our shipments to a new location they have to call there dispatch, who has to call us to confirm the location and the change before they are allowed to, and thats even if its between one of my own stores. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWe_ICjYJn0 And now we come to an actual bad UPS driver, these are the ones that should be getting in trouble. Nothing is right about this at all. I give kudos to UPS drivers here in Canada I have yet to have a crappy package delivered to me, in fact I even had one driver call me to tell me he was at my house trying to drop off a package and noone was home (it was my iPhone 4) he gladly offered to wait for me to drive the 10 minutes home so I wouldnt have to go pick it up at a store (HAD to be signed for by me...guess it was worth like $700) I was so happy the dude waited since he didnt have to at all, and to boot when he gave me the package he handed it over nicely and politely asked if it was an iPhone 4, I chuckled and said yup, he laughed and said thats what I have been delivering all week.
