duane v
Yikes! All my Gibsons have Dunlap strap locks. I probably should invest in those, but my 80 LPC came with the diamond shape posi-lock strap buttons and the strap stays glued to them ... So I think they will work with my EDS
MrNylon
That's scary when that happens. I almost had a bass go on me, but it was my screw up. I had the strap twisted and not set on the strap knob correctly.

A good friend you are indeed, however the liqour store is about 1/4 mile away from the house, and it's a good day for a stroll, as it always is in soCal

Tman5293
Planet waves locking straps are by far one of the best inventions ever. Better than having to drill strap locks into your guitar. They work just as well too.
Searcy
I've never had to drill astrap lock onto a guitar. I've been meaning to try one of those Planet Waves though.... or two even.
milod
I'm beginning to wonder what I've been doing wrong. Even in my wildest rock days - and we got pretty physical on stage - I never had a problem with a guitar getting off the strap. On a stand or setting up or tearing down is when I was always concerned. Never used a strap lock. Hmmmmm. OTOH, a double necker is heavier than anything I've played on stage. m
