Texasbluezman
Been using 11's for years. Now I don't play as much, so I using 10's now. My Epi Les Paul Silverburst, that I just got, has 9's. I was doing some of those Gary Moore 2 step bends the other day, and 'snap', the .009 just couldn't handle it. I just starting using pure nickel 10's on my Strat, and bought an extra set for my Schecter, but I think they're gonna go on the Epi now. Playing a 5 string guitar isn't really that fun. It's so hard to find time to play when you're working nights!
duane v
.009 is the thickest I go with my lead guitars, I even use .008's on some. I would use .008 on all my guitars (except acoustic) if they would intonate with that gauge.... I believe in making it easy on my hands

Elmer
I play 12 on all my guitars except on my dobro it is 013 - 062 and bending does not goes to where it suppose to go without effort.
LarryUK
You cats must have a very light touch. That gauge screams massive string breakage to me. Billy Gibbons uses 7's and his guitar tech says that he's never broken a string.
Searcy
If you break light string all the time you need to work on your crappy bridge or nut.
Cú Chulainn
Bending, never hard, always easy ...and I prefer 10-52 in E standard tuning, and maybe E flat if the mood strikes :)
Thundergod
I'm using 11s right now, tried 12s but I couldn't reach the notes I wanted so I went back, so 11s is the limit of comfortable for me.
