I want to try out some new strings

but want to try out some new strings on my Custom.

If you're looking for suggestions, I've been using WebStrings for the past couple of years on all of my guitars. They sound good, feel good and they're inexpensive.

I don't remember where I read about Stainless Steel Strings being bad for fret wear, but you might be aware of it. Nicklewound is the best way to go, from what I've heard.

maybe they're too standard, but i like DR's...not too expensive, great sound

Ok I guess a better question would be: What strings do you play and why?

I've stuck with Gibson strings for the most part. Brite Wires & Vintage Reissues.

Brite Wires are nickel plated & Vintage Reissues are pure nickel.

I'm going to try the strings RichCI pointed out, but the only thing is they're nickel plated...not pure nickel.

I only want pure nickel on my reissues. I'm going to give Fender pure nickel strings a shot.
