albertjohn
I currently have a Fishman Loudbox. Great little amp. 100 watts but due to its sixe it always seems to struggle to "fill" some rooms. Would like a Bose compact L1 but don't really want to go as far as approx £1k. Anyone have any thoughts on some middle ground and a step up from the Loudbox? Cheers

EuroAussie
Well, you know this amp AJ, but the Marshall AS100D I found can fill quite a large room easily. We recently played a Wedding gig withe some 70 guests in quite a large room and it did the job easily. Here's some footage from the show, as you can hear it really fills the space well. Or you can look into the portable PA's like the Yamaha Stagepass 300 which are designed to fill larger roooms.
albertjohn
Great job there EA. did you have the vocals through the Marshall too? The AS100 was my first thought. I used to have an AS50 which did a fine job.

Jinder
Bit of a leftfield suggestion, but I've had great success in the past with the Laney Audiohub AH200. It's often marketed as a keyboard amp but it's essentially a PA in a box. Capable of getting VERY loud (160w) and really clean and transparent sounding. Nice built-in effects too. It has two or three channels with XLR inputs, and another three or so 1/4" jack input channels. The best bit is the chunky 15" driver which makes it great for dialling in a growly, full low end...that SWD of yours would sound epic through it, AJ!! I just took a look at the specs and pics, and have to agree with you Jinder, thats one heluva driver. Like how it has all the numerous inputs, and as you said basically a PA / Mixer in one. Ugly as hell but looks like its a monster amp, definitely worth checking out. Just wonder how an acoustic will sound through it given its not a 'specialist' acoustic amp. vincentw
I've seen some bluegrass shredders playing their martins through Fishman amps here in nashville. They always sound great.
Hairy Dave
My friend had an AER Compact 60 and recently switched to a Roland AC60. Both sound good to me but I'm not sure if they would meet your needs?
Run
Hi I'm using a Traynor AM150T chosen after trying Fender and Roland acoustic amps. This one really delivers a good acoustic sound. http://www.traynoramps.com/products.asp?type=10&cat=62&id=
