GDC
Nice pair. I thought the J-100 had been discontinued.
Motherofpearl
Pretty cool. Wonder what the j100 has for back and sides.
62burst
Looks like the info card behind the SJ-100 reads "Back and Sides____Mahogany", second line under Specifications. ps: M.O.P. : congrats on the Son of Mother of Pearl!
frenchie1281734003
I love the J-100 with eiter Mahogany or Bubinga, in fact it`s probably my favourite model! That one is a lovely recreaction of a 1940 model, which I wouldn`t mind having in my stable, and just when I thought I was cured of G.A.S. EuroAussie
The J-100 looks very intersting, and Id love to try one, but that bridge .... awful.
michaelsegui
Funny as the batwing bridge is one of the things I like best about it
frenchie1281734003
I`ve got more used to seeing the batwing bridge, but would have liked to have seen a 39 model with moustache bridge. Perhaps this is a "Lonnie Johnson" re-issue? Steve,
bobouz
Nary a spec of runout on either of those - very nice!
ParlourMan
Not wild on the bridge either.
JuanCarlosVejar
well the bridge is part of the vintage specs so ... I guess it appeals to some old gibson fans =) . I'd love to have a J 100. JC
TM
The J100 is interesting. Gibson did a very limited, very nice reissue a few years back, open bridge, stairstep peghead. Not the Centennial model. Just a small run for some shop. They need to get some pickguard material that looks like this. I don't mine the batwing bridge. Maybe get some shading like this J55
CrazyHeart
I think the J-35 looks interesting, but there is something about that Gibson burst.

JuanCarlosVejar
I think gibson is actually doing these based on there original purpose ... be a cheaper alternative to a J 45 and a J 200 . Jeremy from Fuller's said they are not like the past reissues by Ren ... maybe gibson finally decided to shut the mouths of those who say they don't make guitars at competitive prices . mike tango
I really like the reissue J100 but I wish it had the step style headstock.
