Fullmental Alpinist
Dear Gibson, According to the serial number on my 2010 Hummingbird, today is its fifth birthday. Thank you for making a guitar that never ceases to amaze me every time I think of it or take it out of its case and play it. It is, to me, truly an award winning guitar. And thanks to you forum folks for being so gracious in sharing your knowledge and experience! FMA

Jesse_Dylan
That Bird is a looker, too. Is that the Stanley Cup? Why is it with a Hummingbird?? So confused. If that's a photoshop, it fooled me!

If that's a photoshop, it fooled me! You mean that silver thing behind my guitar? Some guy offered to trade it to me for my 'bird. I told him to get lost. And no, it's not Photoshop. MissouriPicker
Enjoy that guitar for many more years....Truly a guitar that can give "the bird" to its competitors. The older that sunburst gets, the better it looks. And that iconic pick guard that so many have made fun of---------let them eat their hearts out. 62burst
I may forget what day it is, but who among us can forget a good looking bird. Even if her name is Stinky. Go Bruins?
fortyearspickn
HBirthday from my HBird to yours. (Mine turned 5 in August. I need to get a sign for the window in my music room - in the event of a fire: " Fireman - Gibsons Inside - rescue the Hummingbird FIRST ! kelly campbell
Love the Bird, I can't believe you got a photo op with the "Cup"..too cool but what is the story on how you were able to get the picture? Go Hawks, sorry but I have been a lifelong Blackhawk fan.
Fullmental Alpinist
Thanks everyone for the birthday greetings. 62burst guessed right: the Cup pictured was the result of the Bruins' win in 2011. Stinky got his nickname because of the unforgettable aroma of a brand-new 'Bird: mahogany and nitro lacquer. I wish it came as an aftershave. Unfortunately he doesn't have that smell anymore.... On the positive side he definitely sounds even better at five years old. And yes, in the event of a fire please rescue my Gibby first. FMA
