  1. Man when I was 11, I lived for Kiss. I did mention I saw them 4 times. Now Gene is just a sad old terrible bassist who can stand up for 2 hours in a costume. Poor Geddy with all his talent in Gene’s eyes would pass out doing it. Gene your not the only one who has ever done it. Gwar does it to name one other band who play costume dress up. I did play Destroyer a few weeks back. It’s got a good song or two. Gene should just stick to what he’s good at - poking his wee wee in women and making $. Anyone see the YT vid of him getting schooled by Carol Kaye on bass? It’s been taken down Probably at Gene’s request cause it embarrassed the hell out of him. Gene didn’t even know where the one is. Wait and your a so called bassist.
  2. When I was a kid we used to go to Der Wienerschnitzel. It was in an A frame building, and you used to drive into the middle of it and that was the drive thru. I used to love their corn dogs. After a while they took "Der" out of the name of the place. In Japan on the street across from the base I was stationed at, the Japanese called corn dogs - Stick Dogs.
  3. If its 1977, I'm in my bedroom with my Koss headphones on rocking Kiss - Destroyer, but its not. I've seen Kiss four times (the originals once), and they do put on a great SHOW. Lots of s-hit blows up, Gene spits fire ect ect. There music looking back is ridiculous.
  4. This guy is such a douch, I am too, but he has money, so people listen to him, and believe him, and people care about what he thinks. He is one of the s-hittiest bassist in R N R, and yet he yaps like he is Jaco Pastorius. Gene, Geddy could play your simple bass lines with his toes blindfolded. Good on you for wearing a costume, and riding open E for 2 hours live. Let me think, would I rather listen to guys in costumes make terrible music, or guys in regular street clothes make good music? Survey says no costumes. Geddy doesn't need to play dress up to play circles around an aged sad rocker who's glory years were 45 years ago. https://rockcelebrities.net/gene-simmons-thinks-geddy-lee-would-pass-out-if-he-performed-with-kiss-outfits?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_7239759
  5. Are you asking if they will be available again? And if you are I have no clue.
  6. Polish all your matte guitars and the will sound better. I wonder if I should polish my D-15M?
  7. Its the same as when a gage doesn't read what you want it to, so you tap on it till it does. I saw guys in the military all the time not think the pressure or temperature gage was reading correctly so they would tap on it. If its a tube amp you may have knocked the tube back in its socket. Something was not making good contact before you man handled it.
  8. Why is it Martin can built a new D-28 for what ever they charge, but building a D-28 to 1937 standards and beating it up and it costs 4k more? I there 4k more labor and materials that go into building it or is it all just smoke and mirrors. Are they harvesting some magic wood from 1937 tone wood forest? Just build all D-28's to '37 specs and call it day. Remember most of the guys/girls who recorded and played the music we love did it on instruments at hand that were not fake aged. Blackbird was recorded on a 1967 D-28 in 1968. A one year old non fake aged guitar that sounds damn good. I know his is Braz RW. The stuff of legend.
  9. Did "Weird Al" sing that like he had a handful of marbles in his mouth?
  10. I think guys that work on amps are more electricians than mechanics. Not to many moving parts in an amp except the potentiometer, which is also electrical, and just a variable resistor.
  11. I would love to play those and I bet they sound great, but for me and this is me, I'm not paying a guitar maker to make me new guitar and make it look old, and pay sometimes double for it. Like I mentioned a new D-28 right now is $3199 (that is crazy to me they are that much now), and a new '37 Authentic Aged D-28 is $7999. So beating up a new guitar is worth and extra $4800 to some one? That is the price of another D-28 and strings for about 5 years. But like most say its your $ do what you want with it. How many of you are salivating for Gibson to start doing this?
  12. That is what I would call Road Worn. I know people love to get rusty parts and make Rat Rods out of them. To me it just looks like a rusty truck missing some stuff. How do you decide on a price when you want to sell it?
  13. Your right the studio and what can be done there to make any instrument sound good, is more than most of us can do sitting on a couch.
  14. Since the world changed, and everything went up 10 fold in price, it is harder and harder to go to a guitar store, and get what you want. I live about 10 mins from a CG. The last at least 5 to 10 times I have been in there. There is maybe one USA made Martin, usually no Gibson's, one or two non-American Guild's, about 5 Taylors, and ton of sub $500 guitars. The try before you buy is getting harder and harder to do.
  15. Gibson makes this model, so don't let them tell you they don't make a case to fit a LP with a Bigs. Unless an 8k guitar comes with a gig bag. https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Guitar/CUS3TM54/Sergio-Vallin-1955-Les-Paul-Goldtop/Gold
  16. Brad1 throws down the gauntlet. Tomorrow at the Carolina Opry I am working security for a CCR Tribute Band show there. My wife said she didn't know any CCR songs. Then I mentioned about 5 or 6 and she said . . . oh they did those, I like those songs. That's what I get for marrying a Garth Brooks fan.
  17. A brat is a sausage, but you know that. If I grill sausages its gonna be Beer Brats. And get the cheapest beer you can, and don't forget to par-boil them in the beer with onions before grilling. No sense in wasting good beer to boil a sausage in. Like when guys gig, they bring there cheap guitars to play. Yes you guys in the UK with your bangers, mash and mushy peas. I've had them, but not in the UK, and they were really good. I've had the Heinz Brown Sause in Gibraltar. It was meh . . . I don't really every need to try it again. One day I'm gonna make it to the UK and eat all the killer fried food you guys perfected. Toad In A Hole sound like something you would be doing with your clothes off. Especially with some Spotted D-ick.
  18. Sad news. I need to rock Hair Of The Dog.
  19. There is supposed to be in Arizona a Sonoran Dog. I've never had one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonoran_hot_dog
  20. Don't forget the Disney in hot and humid Orlando, actually I think its in Kissimmee, FLA. That must be a joy of a job at minimum wage in July and August.
  21. I didn't hear his point because he had it on mute.
