  1. I drink Absenthe every once in a while. Chasing the Green Fairy is not for sissys. It made the end of my first marriage tolerable.
  2. Yeah but Ronnie when alive made Sammy's playing look silly.
  3. When ever I refer to the song Jump, I call it Junk. Dont listen to it its - Junk Junk them some garbage keyboards.
  4. Not sure what your budget is but there is good used real Gibson stuff out there that can be had for almost any price range depending of what you want. I bought a killer SG Special for $600 a few years back. It was clean and stock and a rock machine. Take advantage of what someone else does not what. Used is that way to go. With acoustics I would go new. Getting a nice acoustic and then finding out it need a $400 neck reset is a bummer.
  5. I do have a sense of humor, but he rubs me the wrong way, as he does a lot of other people with with his pompous smugness. So if you get those 8's I can ask my wife for you what a good tampon brand is. See a sense of humor. I'm here all week by the way. Loved Bill and Opus. Aaack!
  6. Do the 57's have 4 conductors plus a ground. Here is what SD wire colors mean. GREEN = start of south coilRED = finish of south coilBLACK = start of north coilWHITE = finish of north coil Here is Gibson BLACK = start of south coil GREEN = finish of south coilRED = start of north coilWHITE = finish of north coil
  7. I made it to 50 seconds. What a tool and his voice is absolutely atrocious.
  8. But they put new bulbs in all the light fixtures at the plant and from what I heard Gibson is back. Well lets ask BBP, what he thinks of looking 9 SG's before the 10th one is except-able.
  9. If that is the real Mark Agnessi he need to be smacked with a baseball bat. That guy is every tool in the tool shed, where his dad fondles his genitalia on a regular basis. I think The Rev (Billy Gibbons) uses 8's. Last I checked he's no slouch.
  10. So I guess you danced with the devil and did the deal. Looks primo. I had a Merlot LP Trad Pro II with a flame top. Dig a red axe.
  11. I'm holding out until they make Uber Slinky.
  12. My motto is if there not played they gotta go. That is why BB is gone, the D-28 and the D-18, the Guild, LP's, SG,s Strats, Teles. All nice, but not interested in electrics any more and I know the 28 and 18 would sit and collect dust after getting the 41. Work happens when you want to eat food and have a roof over your head. Did you see those colorful Firebirds. I can't stand the non reverse ones. I like the ones you have. the ones Johnny Winter played. The red one looked tight.
  13. I know. I've never seen on in person, but on the net I've seen pics.
  14. You can't tell me those guys have never seen a Bigsby mounted to a V.
  15. I regret not seeing Zappa in 81 when Via was in his band. My guitar regret. Not getting into acoustics sooner.
  16. At least there was a barrier. And I hope you were both clothed?
  17. I have had (have) several Martin's. Gone are a D-35, 2 - D-15M's, a D-18, and a D-28. I currently own D-41, 000-28, J12-16GT and a D-15M. To me that's yukky looking.
  18. Gregg was also good at marrying Cher. But not so got at staying married to her.
  19. On Reverb I've solded 4 guitars (one was local pickup), one Amp (local pickup) and a bunch of pedals. It has lower fees than flea bay. I have sold or traded everything now and what I have left are all keepers.
  20. The day has finally arrived. Tracking says what we all love to hear "Out For Delivery". I think it could have gone faster by the old Pony Express.
  21. In the last few months I sold my Guild JF-30, Martin D-18 and Martin D-28 and traded the D-35 in for the D-41. Down to 4 acoustics and 1 electric bass. I am pretty much done. After strumming a D-41 I could go to a 42 or 45, but the 41 is damn uber.
