  1. That is a great statement. I usually see my guitars in the light too. In the dark they are a lot harder to see.
  2. I thought the USPS was 'Merican. The PO can abuse it equally as good if not better than Fed Ex or UPS.
  3. It was $65 shipped and fully insured for the full value.
  4. If you can do what you want and live how and where you want that is all that matters. I know I could never make it in the music game, so I guess I'm tied to being a corporate wage slave.
  5. Understand, its your axe. The fact that you didn't go with a Martin is irrelevant in this scenario. The real issue is you got a Gibson its not perfect (nothing is) and, you like the sound of it and have to live with the imperfection, since it appears you are keeping it and not exchanging it.
  6. You say its the size of a cent, I'm assuming you mean a penny and you say it's barley visible. To me that is not small. So is it there or not? You seem not pleased with the quality and I would send it back cause they ain't cheap. And then your last statement you say "At least I don't have a problem with the J-45" but you started this thread and it appears you do or you would not mention it.
  7. Just make sure you have real job so you can eat and pay bills. At 53 I would have no desire to go on the road to try to make it.
  8. I have used the PO for every guitar I have ever shipped and this has been the only time with a problem. Every time it has gotten there on time or the last guitar got there a day early. They say I have to wait 14 business days to do something. Are Saturdays a business day for the PO since they are open?
  9. Yeah. I just want the buyer to get his guitar in the same condition I shipped it in and every day it give the guitar another chance for something to happen to it.
  10. So I sold my D-28 and D-18 after getting my D-41. Shipped the D-18 on 7th of January. Of course I insured it for the full amount and it needs to be signed for. The estimated date of delivery was Monday the 13th. Every day on the USPS site it changed and said it was moving to its destination. The 11th was the last day there was an update. Then Sunday nothing. Okay the PO is closed on Sunday so I understand. Then Monday came and went and then it updated and stated it will be late. I also understand that too, plus rain and tornado warnings were issued in the South over the weekend. Now nothing. The last update is form the 11th, and it says it is moving through system. So I called today and the friendly Postal Clerk answered the phone told me we have the same information you that you have that is up on the PO's tracking site, no more no less. I asked is it in a PO waiting to be loaded on a truck, or is it on a truck? Got the same answer. The buyer is being patient and understands I have no control once I hand it over to the PO. They said I have to wait 14 day from the ship date to start an investigation to see if its lost or still on its way. So much for tracking. I am not asking the PO to give me pin point accuracy where it is on I-10 headed to Arizona, but come on.
  11. Yes, I can. Kirk played it when I saw 'Tallica 2 summers ago. He played it for about 2 minuets I think on the intro to something.
  12. That is why I consider everything used from CG no matter what the tag says, unless I see it come out of the shipping box.
  13. Cuts into there profits and someone around 20 years old has to do some work instead of looking at cat videos on their cell phone.
  14. Yeah it might be a faded. The pic is small on my laptop and it is not easy to see if it glossy or not. I guess if it is a faded and you don't want one then don't waster your time. I had one of that all hog ones that looked like a tur-d.
  15. I hope he doesn't want over $400 if it is a real Gibson. If you want to take that on good on ya. I'd run as fast a I can get something that doesn't look like it was dragged behind a car for a mile or two.
  16. Looks like a regular Studio. Its not a Faded. But before the Canadian took over Gibson made a 100 models of everything .
  17. The GC I go to in N. Myrtle it seems locks up all the stuff 1500 and higher. A Martin 000-15 you can touch but a Gibby J-15 you have to get the 22 year old with the keys of power to allow a 53 year old that could buy any guitar in the acoustic room, and allow me special permission to touch said worthy axes. But yes I get it, but are 16 year old interested in the one and only D-28 or J-45 there, and I'm sure unless spending daddy $ certainly can't afford it.
  18. I see 3 V Basses on Reverb. None are 12's and all are not red and almost 4k. I think the same 3 are on ebay.
  19. My head is now spinning. I want a Use Your Illusion LP, so I can play it outside a church in the cold November Rain. Of course I wont plug it into an amp, and my shirt will be totally unbuttoned.
  20. I'll play devils advocate. There yours do it.
