  1. Ok. Yeah its modal drone stuff on that and Suite Judy too.
  2. So I got a CSN tab book the other day. And I know the tuning for Love The One You're With (actually a song off Stephen Stills first solo album) had a alternate tuning and the tuning like on all tab books is on the first page in the upper left. But what am I supposed to do on the 5th and 3rd string tuned to C with a down arrow? Go to C then half way to B since they are a half step apart? I'm stumped.
  3. I recently bought a Martin D-41. It has gold (not a fan of gold hardware). They are Schaller Grand Tune open back tuners with the screw down nut, not the press in grommet. If anyone wants to trade like for like, I am open to trade for chrome or nickel or what ever silver is for my gold ones.
  4. It will be delivered tomorrow. What an ordeal. Last update was it left Fayetteville, Arkansas on its way to Arizona.
  5. I can see it from here and yes it definitely is, unless its not. Call Gibson, look at the pots to see if there Gibson, or we need pics.
  6. You have to just experiment and see what you like. You could try flatwound stings.
  7. PO just up dated the tracking. 9 days and it made it from Newport News, VA to Memphis. Unreal. I can drive to Memphis in about 10 -12 hours. It must be going by mule pack.
  8. That is a great statement. I usually see my guitars in the light too. In the dark they are a lot harder to see.
  9. I thought the USPS was 'Merican. The PO can abuse it equally as good if not better than Fed Ex or UPS.
  10. It was $65 shipped and fully insured for the full value.
  11. If you can do what you want and live how and where you want that is all that matters. I know I could never make it in the music game, so I guess I'm tied to being a corporate wage slave.
  12. Understand, its your axe. The fact that you didn't go with a Martin is irrelevant in this scenario. The real issue is you got a Gibson its not perfect (nothing is) and, you like the sound of it and have to live with the imperfection, since it appears you are keeping it and not exchanging it.
  13. You say its the size of a cent, I'm assuming you mean a penny and you say it's barley visible. To me that is not small. So is it there or not? You seem not pleased with the quality and I would send it back cause they ain't cheap. And then your last statement you say "At least I don't have a problem with the J-45" but you started this thread and it appears you do or you would not mention it.
  14. Just make sure you have real job so you can eat and pay bills. At 53 I would have no desire to go on the road to try to make it.
  15. I have used the PO for every guitar I have ever shipped and this has been the only time with a problem. Every time it has gotten there on time or the last guitar got there a day early. They say I have to wait 14 business days to do something. Are Saturdays a business day for the PO since they are open?
  16. Yeah. I just want the buyer to get his guitar in the same condition I shipped it in and every day it give the guitar another chance for something to happen to it.
  17. So I sold my D-28 and D-18 after getting my D-41. Shipped the D-18 on 7th of January. Of course I insured it for the full amount and it needs to be signed for. The estimated date of delivery was Monday the 13th. Every day on the USPS site it changed and said it was moving to its destination. The 11th was the last day there was an update. Then Sunday nothing. Okay the PO is closed on Sunday so I understand. Then Monday came and went and then it updated and stated it will be late. I also understand that too, plus rain and tornado warnings were issued in the South over the weekend. Now nothing. The last update is form the 11th, and it says it is moving through system. So I called today and the friendly Postal Clerk answered the phone told me we have the same information you that you have that is up on the PO's tracking site, no more no less. I asked is it in a PO waiting to be loaded on a truck, or is it on a truck? Got the same answer. The buyer is being patient and understands I have no control once I hand it over to the PO. They said I have to wait 14 day from the ship date to start an investigation to see if its lost or still on its way. So much for tracking. I am not asking the PO to give me pin point accuracy where it is on I-10 headed to Arizona, but come on.
  18. Yes, I can. Kirk played it when I saw 'Tallica 2 summers ago. He played it for about 2 minuets I think on the intro to something.
  19. That is why I consider everything used from CG no matter what the tag says, unless I see it come out of the shipping box.
  20. Cuts into there profits and someone around 20 years old has to do some work instead of looking at cat videos on their cell phone.
  21. Yeah it might be a faded. The pic is small on my laptop and it is not easy to see if it glossy or not. I guess if it is a faded and you don't want one then don't waster your time. I had one of that all hog ones that looked like a tur-d.
  22. I hope he doesn't want over $400 if it is a real Gibson. If you want to take that on good on ya. I'd run as fast a I can get something that doesn't look like it was dragged behind a car for a mile or two.
