  1. Ive had a couple of those J100s when they were New. Nice guitars. New they were in the 1500 cdn range.
  2. I would prefer to buy a Guitar Ive always wanted with my name in small print some where. After all I , I would be playing it. Sig guitars are a Gimic. Most if not all entertainers are dead. And never even touched a fancy Gibson Great marketing . But. Why own a guitar with someone else name on it? Beside what makes the Gibson present entertainers play any different that the stock models being made. ?
  3. Gibson Nashville might be able to tell you which store got that guitar. That store if it still exists might know who bought it. Gibson Im pretty sure keeps records of sales
  4. I had one of those. Same as a 175. But with a different inlay, headstock treatment, Gold hardware with a L5 style tailpiece. , ebony fingerboard. Mine was a Burst finish.
  5. Is it a neck pickup model or Bridge pickup? with nothing there for items and a broken headstock. Not much
  6. Nice little haul. Those ampegs are cool.
  7. Pretty much. If I take a picture of a item from my phone. Then post to add to file here . If I want to remove the picture attachment here , I have to remove the main picture from my phone.
  8. The photos you took prior to adding to the Gibson add files section.
  9. I found if you delete the photos from your main photos. It deletes the attachments. But you loose your photos.
  10. Reverb is a good place to get a idea on value. It will give you a idea anyways. Keep in mind yours has not been looked at to see what if any issues may be on it.
  11. Not a Gibson at all , at one time a Epiphone maybe. Gibson did if Im not mistakin did do builds up here. But not for very long. This one shown is not one of those. Hope you didnt buy it.
  12. Did you buy it used? There are fake labels and decals out there.
  13. You wouldnt happen to have a picture of the heel? also is it double X braced on the inside of the top? some of the mid 70s Birds had small block inlays on the board.
  14. They reissue everything. next issue may have a much higher price tag though.
  15. I bet. I had one of the Bill Monroe varnish models. From the 90s. It was pretty cool. Expensive though. Traded it off .
  16. Im not to sure about filler. These are split for the book match grain. Im betting there was a crack prior to being glued together and mounted to the rim. Im also betting it was not detected at the time. But the crack was barely noticeable to detect at the refinish , assembly and QC prior to boxing up. I bet it started as a very fine slice. Then proceeded to get longer. I used to have that issue with Brazilian In the raw it looked real Nice. At the time of the finish , it looked really Nice. After going through the drying process when the clear dried up. The barely seen cracks started showing through. Some through the sap wood , a few in the bookmatched quartersawn grains
  17. I was special ordering ebony Doves and J200s back in the 90s. As well as J45s. All with standard features Nothing wrong with buying a Elvis family endorsed Gibson. Its what make you happy. If it was me. If you like the size of the J200 , get it.
  18. Just guessing here. The wood may have been cracked prior on the other side prior to the top being put on. If you bought New. I would be taking it to a Gibson warranty shop. And get them to inspect the underside to see if the cracks are longer on the inside. And measure from centre to crack . It could very well be a resin in the wood fail.
