  1. Mmm. I think Marin did that for a short time. It might go over well. Who knows.
  2. Maybe his pockets are not deep enough. Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick seems to be-on these alot
  3. I bet it will fetch double if not more. Prices of those have gone up alot.
  4. Its to bad. Gibson couldnt go back further into the earlier Roots for entertainers. Ray Whitley , Robert Johnson ,Roy Smeck were good examples , But many others played way nicer Gibsons. And Contributed to Gibson being recognized.
  5. They did. But I also remember watching a old show once where they had J180s dressed up like 200s. as for whats posted Albert Lee has one of those Everly J200s. If I recall it was given to him as a gift to be played and looked after. if you watch the all stars with mc Cartney, Jeff Lynne , Clapton,Mann Lee. It shows it being played on in the back ground.
  6. I was thinking two for 1 price.
  7. Slash. How many of you folks want to be just like him. ? 😀
  8. Its called , sturring up hype. Its like old cars classed as barn finds when there in a heated 10 car garage. guitar looks nice ,the story to me is bogus.
  9. Really Nice condition. Theyll do well with that.
  10. You answering your own stuff? I do that as well. 🙄
  11. Parlay.😁 Not a fan. I do like the Custom J200 though with the fancy bridge that Ren built.
  12. Then there was fat bottom girls. I remembered that part but the rest , not so much.
  13. Numbers do look weird. . 47 to 51 was a odd time for some numbers or no numbers. My J50 has no numbers. We had to guess between years via the visual appointments.
  14. Looks like a 7 to me for the first digit . code sometimes seen after FON, i.e. 2586G). 1942 907, 910, 923, 2004, 2005, 7000ish (i.e. 7119) - all 'Banner' logo. 1942 H (letter code sometimes seen after FON, i.e. 7116H). Range 5xxxH to 8xxxH 1943 Range generally 9xx to 22xx, depending on the model. 1944 Range generally 22xx to 29XX, depending on the model, some with no FON. 1945 1xx to 10xx, but many with no FON. 1946 n/a ('Banner' logo no longer used, now script logo with no banner). 1947 700s to 1000s 1948 1100s to 3700s ('Script' logo no longer used, block logo used.) 1949 2000s 1950 3000s to 5000s 1951 6000s to 9000s
  15. Heart inlays. Heart shaped sound hole. Possible retop.
  16. The Original movies are just fine Probably one of the best entertainers out there. A Great showman.
  17. I seem to recall watching a old clip with the brothers sporting j180 size Gibsons with J200 appointments , with the star inlays. I also seem to recall another with even smaller versions. Like the L1 size
  18. I seen a 2022 white Script L00 up here. I think it was 36 cdn bound top ,unbound back . I liked the playability and sound of it. I could not bring myself around to paying that type of money though . If it was a Legend series. That may have been different. There is something about those Legends that have the take me home . the small bodies are cool.
  19. Mine was a 1967 SJ. Quite similar to yours. I got 2500 out of it. It was in fair to good condition. Only reason I sold it was to get another Brazilian SJ200. The SJ is a good guitar.
  20. Its worth half of the 3000 as a player. LG3s for some reason really dont sell for alot to begin with. If The back was replaced and a brace held on with painters tape and it was not disclosed as such I would be returning it.
