  1. Time will tell. Its up to Gibson how they proceed with quality and good business decisions. hopefully Gibson does well.
  2. Yup , All the Guitar makers have high prices. Its a competitive market. They all have good products. Its just a point of who will be around in the future from there prices being more than there items are worth.. From the 90s to now. Prices have more than doubled . Understandable considering competitive wages for qualified craftsmans ,materials, modernizing shops to be safe inside and out. Equipment Im sure isnt cheap. Now it will come down to consistant quality. For the money spent.
  3. I have a early 61. Thats all I need. And it aged over time.
  4. These were the bottom of the line in 24. But there tone puts these right up with the A4s without virzi of the era. My guess in that condition being a snakehead. 2 to 2500. But make sure its up to snuff. I see these at 3000 up. Alot do not sell. Unless there super clean originals without issues. like I said there very popular.
  5. The Trinity boys. Funny movies.
  6. He won over the judges. Not sure how he was able to do that either.
  7. Those J series guitars look good but, Put a Cleaner smaller logo on the headstock. That large logo reminds me of a cheap Luna guitar.
  8. This dates to 1924. Its a style A from the Lloyd Loar era. Do your home work. Mandolincafe.com. And. Reverb.com. There a very popular mandolin.
  9. Jeff Lynne plays a original SJ /CW There a great studio guitar as well. Ive never owned a New SJ square shoulder. Ive tried out a few. They were good.
  10. Are we going to see a New Clint Eastwood movie soon? A spaghetti western? 😁
  11. Hello. Soooo. What kind of Martins were those you mention of? B45-12 strings are neat.
  12. Im at a Gibson guitar store now. All the heels are the same. From the J29 to the J200. A couple sustainable L00 guitars here with the french heel. Theyve had those here for two years. Not flying off the shelf any time soon.
  13. Nothing wrong with Collings , great guitars.
  14. I did not know about this type of guitar being used on a popular song like that . Im pretty sure all of these are ladder braced. There is a place Ive been told of that converts these to x brace. But I have no idea what it does to the tone. . these guitars are not that expensive to buy. Neck sets are a challenge though.
  15. I got a couple of those. They are light weight, deep throaty airy tone. , easy to play. Just a all around good All solid wood guitar.
  16. Hi. Do you have a serial number on the label? Or a number on the inside neck block? It is a A. How much are you asking for it? Those pickguards are known for de solving. It is gassing off. And will create problems on the rest of the celluloid plastics like binding. Its a cancer that doesnt quit. I have s harp guitar thats doing the same thing.
  17. Seeing your list. Your 000 28 cs Should be everything a Clapton is. The problem is with these guitars. We have a tendency to want all of them.
  18. Ya. All of them are. I know mine is dated and signed . But no model I.D. Had to got through a Gruhn book for that one. The more ornate , the higher the number. Mine has the ivory binding. Ivory Buttons. Gold lip abalone. I think they stopped using Ivory in the mid to late 1880s.
  19. Back in the heyday. It was a LG2. From the early to mid 40s they were special. From about 1947 into the 50s they were pretty much the same. And very much a Nice guitar. And none of those had a name behind the model. The LG2 was a burst in the beginning For some reason it was done in Natural When these guitars started being made again. They as in Gibson took every approach to market these like all there models over and over.
  20. I own a 1874 Martin 2/27 Its a killer guitar. Silk and steels That 2/24 that S Earle has looks nice.
  21. Should be the same guitar with a different model name . (Marketing ) Maybe a wood change somewhere.
  22. Ive had a few over the years. There neat.
  23. I think there to eliminate the squeek. Daddarios I use mostly. They work fine without the additional price
