  1. Here in Canada. Usually what ever US list is. Say 5990.00 US list. Is about 5990.00 cdn selling price. the Petty J200 selling up here for 11,000 cdn .
  2. They are world wide. I bet There doing just fine.
  3. I have one Bass, A 64 TBird IV No fractures or cracks. I bought cause it cheap at the time. I dont even play bass
  4. Good to know, you got your answer. Have fun with your guitar.
  5. Ya. Spelling is not my thing. I get by.
  6. More sarcasm. 😁 I think Gibson could could do better to there color choices .
  7. Any of you folks remember the Catalina series ? Les Pauls that had pastel colors , p94 pickups. Those guitars were tastefully done. They looked good , sounded good. Gibson also did a es175 like that, those had decals on the face that resembled bomber aircraft art. They looked pretty nice I do forget the model des. To me thats what the should bring back. They were pretty Nice.
  8. Going to the US though. Its Federal. Even though the separate States allow . So its not so easy.
  9. Well. Wood glue is strong. If its tight and dried well , it will last. Hyde glue should of been used if that was in the talks. I doubt the bridge will lift again though. If it does. The repair shop has some work to do.
  10. Borders are closed unless its a essential service. They say up here maybe June 21 for reopening. At our end they have been bumping the month and date since Nov 2020. Your from the US ? Made in the US . You can buy anything you want. And take it back. Just make sure your total cash ,or check, does not exceed 9999.00 cdn No firearms, no dope. Declare all items if you intend to leave items here. Customs officers like there power trips. to be sure talk to US customs prior for re entry.
  11. I think Id rather see a Levi edition paint scheme. . With a Levi Belt strap and a Levi covered case. Put a red tag on the pocket lid Cover. With some fancy tuner buttons wrapped in Leather. Also different inlay scenes on block markers down the finger board. Something different.
  12. There could be a very good reason for that being in the loft. Are you sure its worth the effort to torture yourself? That was not what I expected when the vid was shown. Jumanji comes to mind. Put it back where you found it. 🤭
  13. I bet that was a neck set that went wrong. I bet there was more wood takin than what was required. Thats why the scale is off. So now the nut is closer to the saddle. The dove tail over hangs the soundhole. And the bridge with there statement. Not all had pearl panels is wrong. The price reflects a quick sale to get rid of it. I wouldnt touch it. Knowing whats been written.
  14. Wierd. Never heard of that scale length.
  15. A Neck set is not uncommon for that era. I seen a few a couple years after that time frame done at a Gibson Dealer repair outlet. Not unusual at all. It all depends how there stored , heat, dryness. , 25 1/2 scale length.
  16. Who knows. Kind of a Fuzzy vid.
  17. Just because a guitar is bigger. Doesnt mean its better. I own SJ200s, for me there easy to play when set up properly. Are they comfortable to play? I guess its what your use too. I find some J 45ish AJs uncomfortable to play. Shape , size, scale length, all play a factor. My Gibson harp guitars are huge. They take getting use to. 19” wide bodys. 12 fret huge necks. The tone though , is just so cool. I think you have to get out and judge for yourself. Whats good, whats not. Everyones take is going to be different as a player. as a collector its easy to pick and choose. When you have a wide array to compare .
  18. That I didnt know. But if it was the case. I would be more inclined to aquire from a store. Try first prior to purchase.
  19. I believe you have to deal with a Gibson Dealer to process a order. But find one that has a good rep. You cant deal with Gibson directly.
  20. KS , My bucket list was pretty much filled up a few years ago with the exception of one thats in Bozeman , and that will be determined on price. Then it was time to move a few on to make more room. Maybe when the borders open. It will be on this side of the fence. Im pretty much the same age as you. And just having a enjoyable time with what I own. hope everyone gets what there looking for.
  21. LG0s are okay. But the guy at the music store must be the only game in the state to give you that ball park of a price. Look on ebay or a actual guitar store that may have one listed to get a true value. Not meaning to offend. Its your guitar to do as you wish.
