Thanks gMac and Grunt... BK, is is a Reimagined 000-28SB (sunburst). They make these, and amber tone, and the blonde. I do love it. It’s got the herringbone trim, and a few other aesthetic upgrades over the prior model. They forward shifted the bracing, so this is more like the Clapton models internally. I played about a dozen of these before I bought, and moved back and forth between these and the 0000s. Love this model... neck, short scale, looks, and sound. The sound doesn’t slap you OMG at first. But it warms up with a lot of play. I think with a few years of age and play, this may one day be my one and only... so I do like it. Vince Gil has a few of those original shade tops. He pulled one out in that video here (Musician’s Friend?). Those are ..... expensive. Like Porsche expensive.

Honestly, I am skeptical Krasi. However, I have heard your magnificent playing, and the tone you get. If you are a strong believer in such a product, it would be wise for me not to write it off. I think he has an interesting voice. I thing Grunt posted this a year back. Surprising that THAT voice comes out of that ‘lil guy. Ya expect it to come from CHRIS Stapleton, and only after he has been out all night and smoked thirteen Marlboro reds in a row.

Hey Dan... how do I have an Amulet M-VT in my Gibson AJ? Doesnt it have the same bridge as that legend? the long narrow one too? To the OP's question... others on the forum are more in tune with getting the ultimate plugged in tone... All I know is that the Amulet I have (and you) sounds fantastic, as do my K&K equipped guitars. K&K into FireEye RedEye. I also have found my Baggs Element VTC to give a great sound for a UST especially. Finally, I have a Takamine with a nice preamp in it. It's not something I would advocate for a Gibson, but I do know many folks who seem to buy Takamine CoolTube preamps, and put them in their guitars. Not sure you would add a barn door in your legend though :)

I figured the top is orange from years of rays... UV. My J50 turned from blonde to toasty in a few years.

Hey man... happy for you. Sounds like you have the perfect gal. Me? I have GAS often. And I own two Martins and three Gibsons. The Gibsons have my heart for sure. This is a great place to love Gibsons. You are in grand company. There are pros here, hacks, and everything in between... and we all know the thump of the slope, the honey of the Birds... and the blues boxes. Figure out how to post inline pics here using a hosting site like Imgur... because we want so see your guitar.

So I bought that Takamine P3DC. dents on the top, but otherwise close to new. Price was great. It is the best live sound I have ever had. Unplugged its quiet but very warm and sweet. STrum too loud and it gets overdriven. expected I guess. Still, played with finesse It sounds much closer to a good J45 than any D18. I wont cloud this board with any review.... but I am shocked with how much I like this guitar.
