  1. Is there a way post a Zip WAV File to This Forum without having to make a YouTube?
  2. I always liked singing. My Mom had a beautiful singing voice.. She was my first inspiration.. I’ve always loved music.. I come from a musical family.. The first time I heard my voice I couldn’t believe it was me.. Sounded nothing like I thought I sound.. I thought I was pretty horrible.. I took some Voice training hoping to improve my singing.. Now after many years it’s my Voice.. All I can do is try to sing a song as well as I can. But, after years of Recording you get used to it. I still wish I could sing better.. I recall Elvis saying he wished they wouldn’t mix his voice so far in front of the mix… Even he was a little self conscious about his it seems..
  3. I agree.. We all have our personal preferences.. But, if it sounds good.. Do it..
  4. No apology necessary here.. Again it’s a pretty Guitar & the last of Kalamazoo. That’s definitely worth something. I was a Carson fan & would probably pay a little extra but I’d have to research values before I’d take plunge.. I would make trip to play it if I were to buy any Guitar in that Price range.. But then, I’m not Musk, Bezos or Zuckerberg either. Alls good!
  5. Maybe best Blues, Rock, Psychedelic.. But, even that can be argued.. Beck, Page & Clapton come to mind.. What about in Jazz & Classical Circles?

  7. Tell that to the Buyers of Mark Knopflers' Guitars that sold for $11 Million Bucks at Auction a week ago or so.. There many others too.. Provenance has a lot to do with the value of a Vintage Instrument..
  8. I did. What Hit Records? Theme from Melrose Place? Sorry, just my 2 cents…
  9. It is a pretty Guitar. It may be rare but what is the significance of this Guitar? I’ve never heard of these. And I’m pretty well informed having worked for Giant Music Stores for several years. There was nothing stellar about Gibson Guitars in the 80’s. It’s hard to think of 80’s Guitars as being Vintage but I technically I guess they are.. Was this model used on any Hit Records by a great Session guy or famous Artists? It’s a great looking Guitar & probably sounds great being Kalamazoo built.. Which for me is it’s main provenance.. But, it’s not a Guitar I’d speculate on.. Best of unknown on the Sale.
  10. They need to be in Temps of 70-80 degree’s approximately. And Humidity 40-50%.. I quit buying from GC several years ago.. When I did, I bought new Guitars in the wrapper. No Floor models…
  11. Aaaahh.. I haven't used them in years.. I’m using an Apple IMac for Logic Po X & a MacBook Pro for Pro Tools.. Very different terminology’s.. But, I use Clone Tracks for creating a Clone & I use Bounce Tracks for other things in both Logic & Pro Tools.. ..
  12. I have a 20 year old Gibson J-160E & a 50 year old Martin D-35 in my Home Studio. I do have a humidifier and keep my Studio between 40-55% at all times. The J-160E developed a Split recently. No problems with my D-35 though.. Is splitting more common with Mahogany than Rosewood which is a much harder Wood?
  13. In the old days bouncing Tracks was a way to build Multi Tracks with a 2 Track Tape Recorder that had SOS or SWS.. Every Bounce was layered on another Track. No way to make changes..Plus every bounce degraded the sound of the previous recording.. That isn’t what I’m talking about.. With Protools, Logic & most other DAWS Bounce Tracks can be used for a number of reasons.. They are still recreations of the Original Track. Either in Mono or Stereo. They aren’t layered Tracks. There is no degrading of Sound.. There is nothing bad about using Bounce Tracks with modern Multi-Track Recording. Whether it’s Protools, Logic, most DAE’s & even Multi-Track Tape. The final Stereo Pre-Master is a Bounce.. Then the final Master is a Bounce.. Then the Pressed Records, Tapes, CD’s, MP3’s etc are all Bounced.. Today Bounce Tracks are an additional tool that is a huge plus…
  14. If you want to keep all the Effects on a track you record, create a Bounce Track & record your Track with Effects on the Bounce Track.. It’s a recording of the Track with Effects.. There’s good & bad to that. The Effects can’t be changed.. Whereas the the Original recorded Track may or may not have the Effects depending on the DAW others are using.. Not always a bad thing as the Mixing Engr can Mix the entire Project to make everything sound balanced with just the right amount of EQ, Compression & FX.. Remote Recording shouldn’t be a problem as long as everyone sends individual or stereo Tracks as Zipped WAV Files…
  15. These must’ve been pretty popular because they’re pretty scarce.. They’re not for me, I can’t stand hauling my Firebird V around in the Trunk sized Case.. But, if anyone is interested… Check out this Epi Double Neck G-1275.. Pretty good deal.. https://reverb.com/item/79095298-epiphone-g-1275-custom-1996-2019-cherry
  16. Sounds like they cleaned house!
  17. That’s why I was Celebrating! I did a lot of Celebrating in those days….
  18. They were great in ‘69! That’s how I want to remember them…
  19. I got Tickets for my Daughter and Son in law, who share the same Birthday, to see “The Rolling Stones”.. I saw them in their youth in the 60’s & prefer to remember them that way….
  20. As much as I like Guitars if I had that kind of money it would be in Beachfront Homes in Southern California & Oahu…..
  21. That will be a very interesting trip…
