  1. Is there such a thing as purpose built Humidifiers for Guitar Rooms? I'd like it to be quiet, Gauges showing Temp, Humidity etc. Prefer it not to spray out water but a very light mist into the Room so as not to damage Guitars... Does that make sense? Thenks L
  2. I live in Palm Springs, Ca.. Dry Climate.. Triple digit Hot in the Summer & mild 60-80 Degree Winters.. I need recommendations for a good Humidifier for my Home Studio Guitar Room… We have dual 5 Ton Heating & A/C Units… So we’re good there.. I do like to leave a few Guitars in my Studio to grab & play anytime. I also leave a few hanging on the Wall to grab & play at will. I’m starting to notice some sharp fret edges & signs of dryness on some of Guitars. I think I need to address the Humidity situation. I’d like good quality & quiet. With Guages for Humidity etc.. Please post your recommendations. Thanks, L
  3. Also, different Glues are used to join Neck & Body with Custom Shop & high end Gibsons.. Usually on high end Guitars, Hide Glue or Titebond Glue is used. Not sure what they use on the HP…
  4. You can’t go wrong with P90’s & TV Yellow..
  5. Fender Jags are Sweeet!!! That one looks awesome! Well done! idea what year it is? I own a Candy Apple Red AV65 Jag & it is totally different from all Guitars & I love the noise it makes.. Enjoy yours!
  6. I think that was a typo.. I’m sure he meant to say Roger Mayer https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/secrets-jimi-hendrixs-guitar-setup-interview-roger-mayer
  7. I agree. I’m learning to do my own Setups. I do pretty well with most Guitars. But, would rather have someone else Setup my Ric 360 12 String & my other Guitars that require Neck removal. I’m not quite there yet on the more difficult Setups. But, I’ll learn.. I’m a Singer/Guitarist. I’ve learned that when I’m singing to play lighter & when I’m not singing bring my Guitar volume up to the level of my Vocals & then lighter when I resume singing. It’s definitely an exercise in Dynamics but important & make for better performances. Getting Bands to do that when playing live is difficult.. But, is important if you want sound professional…
  8. I play several different kinds of Guitars.. Acoustic & Electric.. As well as Bass.. It was a slow progression going from one Acoustic Guitar & building an arsenal over the years.. The slow progression probably helped make transition from one type of Guitar to another less difficult.. I don’t notice it so much anymore.. Most Guitars aren’t that much trouble.. The most difficult Guitar for me to transition to is my Ric 360 12 String! The Necks are pretty narrow & Strings are so close together. Making it more difficult for me to play.. But, I do like the sound of it on certain Songs..
  9. Memphis Gibsons can look & sound excellent.. If Nashvilles are Custom Shop does that make all Nashville Gibson Electrics Custom Shop?
  10. That’s a beauty! Enjoy it! I want a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top but with P90’s.. I’m good with Gibson Les Pauls that have Humbuckers..
  11. Sweetwater or Wildwood could be of help if you want a Gibson Custom Build.
  12. Most Guys can break someones Hand while shaking hands if they want to.. Does that mean that's how you should shake Hands? No.. Same with playing a guitar, Piano, Violin or whatever.. You need good Dynamics..
  13. Just about the entire Guitar has Cancer Warnings.. Amps too..
  14. Check this.. https://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancer-causes/general-info/cancer-warning-labels-based-on-californias-proposition-65.html https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/california-proposition-65-warning-on-fender-guitars.2174461/
  15. Well, it’s pretty common we do.. You just have to look at labels..
  16. It’s all about dynamics.. There are times to play hard, to play light & in between..
  17. Those labels appear on lots of things.. The Air we breathe is Cancer causing. The Sun is Cancer causing.. Life is Risk vs Reward….
  18. I’m left handed & play a right handed Guitar.. It was all there was around when I learned to play on since I didn’t own a Guitar at that time.. I was in the Army & borrowed them at the EM Club… I’ve tried to play lefty but gave it up quickly.. I should restring one of my Guitars & give it a try..
  19. I’ve worn them high & I've worn them low.. Now I hang them in the middle.. About the same Strap adjustment height if I were sitting.. That’s the most comfortable for me.. That height makes it easier for me to play without looking at the Neck.. Except occasionally… Enabling me to engage with the Audience since I’m the Lead Vocalist.. Much more professional…
  20. LOL… Gibson makes changes at their discretion not ours.. About the only thing that stays the pretty much the same are some Body shapes…
  21. Not sure I ever heard that 2002’s were mythologically great. But, Late 90’s & early 2000’s Gibson produced some amazingly good including LP’s… Gibson is doing great work right now.. I wouldn’t hesitate getting a 2022..
  22. Also, Pickups vary model to model.. Which makes a big difference in their Sound..
