  1. Yeah, bummer. I loved that dude. He did well in other roles besides Pee Wee. But Pee Wee is iconic. I remember first seeing him in an HBO special in the early '80's. A few years before the TV show. It blew me away. You could catch glimpses of Reubens in movies like THE BLUES BROTHERS('80) and a couple of Cheech and Chong movies and as a "speedboat salesman" in the movie MATILDA('96). In all, Reubens was in 24 films in various roles and lent his voice to five others. Whitefang
  2. Maybe they share the same term the Aussies use. "Barbie". Whitefang

  4. Haven't seen them for several years, but back in the '90's some areas around here used to be plagued every summer by some kind of bug that looks like a ladybug but is more "orange-ish" than red. They'd try to get into everything. Never knew what they were really called. Whitefang
  5. See..... And I was just trying to save a few thousand trees by suggesting a way to quit using all that paper toweling. And after dumping most of the grounds into the waste can, there can't be that many left in the press. And when you swish the inside with water and dump it out there's no law that says you always have to dump that water in the same place all the time. So there's really no danger to your grass. 6. I'm with you on the pickled beets. But not the sprouts. Whitefang
  7. I was referring to what I put on fries. So do you try different BBQ sauces on your fries, or were you changing the subject? Whitefang

  9. First of all, you don't need to use a garden hose. Just fill the press with water, take it outside and swish it around a bit. THEN pour it out. And the grounds won't keep anything from growing . And do that AFTER dumping most of the grounds in the waste can. D'OH! Whitefang
  10. Ever try beet horseradish? A bit milder than the traditional white. And did you ever notice most people pronounce it "HORSH-RADISH"? Whitefang
  11. 😱Japanese "Beatles"? Whitefang
  12. So what's wrong with rinsing your press outside? And pouring those grounds ON the ground? Of course, what you do now is more advisable in the Winter. Whitefang
  13. I put Ranch dressing on my mac'n'cheese. Something I picked up from a grandniece. But no more than a drizzle. And I too think ketchup on eggs is an abomination. Whitefang
  14. Did you think that BEFORE seeing that picture? Or after........? Whitefang

  18. But considering the plastic baskets in most drip coffee makers aren't porous......... porous adjective US /ˈpɔːr.əs/ UK /ˈpɔː.rəs/ Add to word list Something that is porous has many small holes, so liquid or air can pass through, especially slowly: porous soil with good drainage porous brick walls a porous polymer membrane
  19. "Just A Gigolo"--Bing Crosby(and a truckload of others) Whitefang
  20. Must have one of those makers with an auto turn-off warmer. Shuts itself off in two hours, most of them. Try a Bunn coffee maker. Their warmers don't shut off automatically. Whitefang
  21. Trade ya. I'm turning 72 tomorrow(the 28th) I usually has sex while playing the guitar. But what that really means is that I usually f**ked up everything I'd play. Whitefang
