    I think it is always a case of it is not what you play, but how you play it that counts.

    Hearing a version of Greensleeves with lovely tone, dynamics and projection is better than a tense and not quite ready for public airing virtuoso piece.

    Personally my fingers love the feel of ebony fret board, which i think the alpine white studios have?, so on paper I would choose the alpine white. It would depend on the day though. Matt

    Wow what a great collection :) I love my Gibson m3 Deluxe. I know one of the woods in the body is made from walnut if that is of any help. I paid £600 for it about 2 years back. I have never seen a range of guitars sell for such a huge diversity of prices too. They are one of Gibson's unsung heroes to me! Matt
