Roger, that's generally how I go about my consumption of wings and celery. Blue Cheese dip normally, though sometimes a cool ranch is called for. I just had some wings last Friday evening. Mmmmm-mm-mmmmm. 😘

Perhaps I should explained my 'I'm floored' comment, and offer some context; * I had never heretofore heard any actual music by Nickelback. * I had heard of them of course, and across the internet, that hearing was in the vein of, "most people dislike them", and it's become a never ending well of pejorative humorous barbs to even bring them up in polite society. I had it in my head that they were schlock-meisters of some sort, in the vein of Justin Bieber, Hanson, or Florida Georgia Line. Imagine my amazement when I clicked on that link in the original posting then. Is it the best cover of Sharp Dressed Man ever? No, of course not. But I had my expectations set a whole lot lower going in, I can tell you that much. I need to go back now, and explore the Nickelback songs that I have missed. And shame on me for listening to the interwebs hype in the first place. 😬

Okay, the band Nickelback. Sort of a music industry joke thing right? Some people love them. Most people can't stand them. Me, I never really heard them, I reckon. Couldn't name you a single Nickelback hit song. And this this evening I stumbled upon this youTube video from a 2007 tribute to ZZ Top. Holy crap. These guys killed it. 😃

In Psychology, we call this, "overcompensating". Asserting one thing to distract from something else missing in ones life or situation. 😶

Mixed Martial Arts instructor. I have known exactly two in my entire life. And neither of them ever mentioned it, talked about it, or let on about their avocation. They just quietly went on about their business, fully prepared to put down a bad guy if the occasion ever arose. Any troll who leads with that bit of information is (in my opinion) trying just a bit too hard to impress or intimidate. 😐

I regret, at this point, the kind, genteel, and polite advice I offered to our temporary guest, Mr (Ms?) Razed earlier. Kindness and gentility are generally accorded to those who just might reciprocate in kind. This clearly is not the case. Razed is a common troll, by any standard or interpretation of the internet definition. Rude, disrepectful, illiterate, and worst of all, prone to levying threats at established members of this esteemed forum. ("I'm an MMA instructor, so you had better watch out. You go places you don't need to go, you'll meet your demise", etc etc) I have just perused todays offerings from the troll, and I find his message and style of delivery to be both tedious and boring. And worst of all, unoriginal. Razed, it might just be time to move along, Scooter. Surely there are other web forums for you to troll. And the evening is young yet. 😘

That can be vexing and frustrating, I know. How do the Burstbucker Pros sound, and especially when coil-split? I'm curious how that sounds. 🙂

Razed, My advice, for whatever it's worth, good sir; There are web forums out there where getting into a squabble with long-established forum members is a sporty and admirable endeavor. To be honest, this isn't one of those web forums. The posters here, most of them who have been aboard many years longer than myself, are fairly mature, experienced, supremely knowledgeable, and generally quite helpful. And yes, many of them prefer to read postings that feature proper English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Your original posting was, admittedly, lacking in merit with regard to those stated attributes. Your vent, on the topic of long shipping times and guitar gear delivery delays, is a valid one. And many fellows here share your pain. But I can only advise that you take just a bit more care to capitalize, punctuate, and to avoid run-on sentences. And to please avoid getting into flame wars with the seniors around here. Either that, or be incredibly funny and entertaining. Your ability to make the seniors laugh can carry your threads a long way. In short, your stated topic was an A+. Your delivery was a D- at best. You can choose to bring it with fair and style, or you can choose to post in the fashion of your earlier attempts. And then find yourself mired in one after another pi$$ing contests. I'm getting to be a 'buy local' guy anymore. I did order that white SG from Reverb last month, and was pleased that it only took a week and a half to get to me (from Texas of all places). But my very next guitar acquisition was from a local pawn shop. And I like it that way. Since I am blessed to live in a market rich in guitars and gear availability, I think it's going to a more frequent occurence, this business of buying local and in-person. 😗

In past years, in most catalogs and online shopping sites, I would see, Call For Price or Contact Us For Special Price, but only on Rickenbacker guitars and basses. I just checked Sweetwater, and it's still that way. I never understood that. Guess what? It kept me from even considering the purchase of a Rickenbacker guitar or bass. 😗

Gibson generally fashions the neck and headstock from one piece of wood. The width of the neck drives the width of the headstock, in so many words. In order to make the Gibson headstock shape a 'fanned-out' one, pieces of wood, like wings, are glued and clamped onto the comparatively narrow headstock, early in the construction. Why, you may ask? Because if you chose to fashion the wide headstock from one piece of wood, the raw wood plank would have to be much wider. And you would have to remove very much material on the sides of the piece of bulk wood to get to the desired neck shape. That would be a true waste of expensive wood. It is much more economic to just make the raw plank about as wide as the future neck, shape it into the desired profile and add the wings later. Cheaper, easier, and less wasted wood material. 😐

Yessir, thank you for that. I can see it now, in that blown up view. And I gladly correct myself from earlier. I did evenutally find a Gibson guitar with that exact shape on the portion of the back where the headstock meets the neck. This 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard '60's Neck Sunburst. Not the same top by any stretch, but quite similar to the guitar up for purchase. https://www.themusiczoo.com/products/gibson-les-paul-standard-60s-neck-sunburst-2005 So the OP's advertised guitar appears to be legit, albeit needing a new 3 way switch, truss rod cover, and a good cleaning. 🙂

Leaning toward Chibson. The joint where the headstock meets the neck is shaped wrong for a 2005 Gibson, based on photos I have examined, and the headstock is one piece of wood. (I looked at other 2005 Les Pauls, and they all have the 'wings' on the left and right of the headstock.) Price is low for a legitimate Gibson, if that tells us anything. 😬

Swedish, yes. Translated, poorly: Description Length about 100 cm. Soft case and shoulder strap included. Condition report Use Wear. A lid and a steering wheel are missing. Wear on the case. So "had the living crap played out of it. This is not a case queen" is appropriate. Looks like a Standard I suppose. Or a Chibson. Not sure about that headstock logo. But I haven't had my second cup of coffee yet. 😐

I recall coming back stateside after a number of years stationed in Germany. This was in late 1984. Seems like after we settled in, MTV was on the TV all day, for a couple of years anyway. MTV sold the product, and I bought it. Lock, stock, and teakettle. Who profited? David Lee Roth, surely. Hall and Oates. Cindy Lauper. Etc. 😗

If I went for the Epiphone Muse, I think I would want one with the pearl white top and black sides and back. Classy!! 🙂
