  1. I rotate them. Sometimes you need a Tele, and sometimes only a Les Paul will do. ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. Yessir. Just saw it earlier today, when I attempted to click on the link to another forum in these Gibson boards. ๐Ÿ˜—
  3. I have stuck with automatics, since 2003 anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚

    left handed?

I seriously doubt it. I'm not seeing a thing on Kramer's website leading me to believe that they will offer any left-handed guitars. ๐Ÿ˜
  5. I'm fond of staying near Broadway, to allow walking-distance convenience to the old-school bars and honky-tonks there. Great live music to be had, left and right. Great restaurants too. I have always had a nice stay at this Hilton: Hilton Nashville Downtown 121 4th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201 (615) 620-1000 From the hotel it's an easy block and a half walk to the historic and lovely Ryman Auditorium. My favorite concert spot in the free world. https://www.boxofficeticketsales.com/ryman-auditorium?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=85767647&utm_term=ryman auditorium schedule 2021&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlOmLBhCHARIsAGiJg7lFixJ72jf8iv0i4SO44D4Fk5Eq8bwoUEoXij_vC7mACmqGvepst3UaAr1nEALw_wcB Acts to be seen in December (I would plan my timeline around coming to see one of these at the Ryman) include Amy Grant and Vince Gill, Tab Benoit and Samantha Fish, Andrew Peterson, Sarah Brightman, Home Free Vocal Band Colter Wall, She and Him, and more. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  6. I have always loved the Gibson Grabber bass. But my affection was rooted in slightly earlier artists than Green Day. ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. It's a long tenon Tone Lightยฎ, according to my lighting luthier. Same quality specs as 12AX7s, EL34s, and even KT66s. Only with more quack and sparkly fizzle. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  8. Oh man, that's great on all counts. I love a good low-wattage 1x12, I really do. Now you have me interested in the VHT. (And I thought I was all set.) I've been an Alice Cooper and KISS fan since the earliest days of both bands, and follow Alice and Ace closely on the computer music news links and via youTube interviews. My first (garage) band opened the very first show we did with Strutter, and our 2nd number was I'm Eighteen. Love those guys. Congrats! ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Oh man, I like what's I'm hearing thus far, Tim. I'll keep listening. Thanks!! ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. NBD - New Bulb Day Sorry I'm so late posting this. I actually got in my brand new (to me) Made In Corona, California LED bulb yesterday, but I spent all evening woodshedding it, and lost track of time. Shipped in just three days from Sweetlighter. Some famous player named 'Philips' signature, she apparently is. She's in an Antique Appliance White finish, and the socket threads are like butter. 800 Lumens, 10 watts, 2,700 K on my ohms meter. Thinking of modding it, but can't decide whether the factory PCB is good enough, or if I want to upgrade it to the Seymour Darken heat sink. Oh well, I got time, I reckon. Can anybody tell me if it's counterfeit or not? I hate to think I might've taken a bath on this one. I feel like I'm in the dark sometimes. ๐Ÿ˜‘ Okay, I'm gonna shut up now. ๐Ÿ˜”
  11. Welcome, Tone Dig. Glad to have you aboard, matie. ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. Wow. That's interesting. Learn something new every day. It's an unconventional look. Sort of like Geddy's Signature Bass, I reckon. ๐Ÿคจ
  13. I just now noticed the square shape of the fingerboard inlays. Can't say as I have ever seen any quite that shape on a genuine Gibson. Trapezoid, yes. Dots yes also. None at all, in the case of certain models. But not straight up square. ๐Ÿ˜—
  14. SparrowHawk89, The great thing is, you inherited it. You didn't buy it. Take your time, and contact Gibson Guitars Customer Support, and ask them what sort of guitar belongs to that seemingly 2005 Gibson Nashville serial number. https://www.gibson.com/Support/Customer-Service Good luck. ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. A brilliant conclusion. All's well that ends well, then. ๐Ÿ™‚
  16. I actually prefer a padded, structured gig bag to a hard shell case. Cases are heavy, and only really useful to me when shipping or flying with a guitar (which is never really happens in my world). My favorites, in that vein? Ibanez PowerPad. Gibson Premium Soft Case Fender FET padded gig bag I own, by the way, a couple of the Gibson padded gig bags (like this one below). I'm not a fan. They seem overly tight, like they were made a half inch too short.
  17. Holy MOLY that's a lot of guitars!! ๐Ÿคฏ
  18. I'm a weirdo. My guitars hang on the walls 24/7, so I can grab one whenever the mood strikes me. The cases and gig bags are neatly standing on the right wall of my music room closet. Ready for transport, whenever transport is warranted. ๐Ÿ˜
  19. I love Christmas, Larsongs. I am blessed with so many fond memories of Christmas as a child, and years later, raising my daughter in Germany. Christkindlmarkt, gluhwein, the chill in the air, snow on the ground, so wonderful. All my memories are from late December, obviously, through all those decades. And so nowadays, walking into the store to pick up groceries in October and November, and tripping over Christmas displays, on the other hand, it's just wrong. I really hate it. ๐Ÿ˜ž
  20. Actually, quite a few years ago. Now that I reflect on it. But it's not like Walmart ever listens to me. And yes, I sent the song to Walmart, a few times over the years. ๐Ÿ˜
