With all due respect, that's not really joined. It's more like loosely attached. Or, placed in close proximity to the body.
Maybe this one was meant to go to Pete Townsend. Now that he's getting older he needs the necks set poorly so they're easier to break off.
They're interesting. I've never heard of them before. I can't find them on the Gibson website list of older models.
It looks like they have some elements of a reissue, but not all. They have a the long neck tenon and they get the historic tall pickup rings. It's hard to tell but it looks like at least some have the non-historic wider SP2(?) headstock. The ones that I found seem heavy so probably no weight relief. They don't mention hide glue.
So basically, it's a Custom Shop LP that's not a historic with some nice features you don't find a USA LP. Not bad.
There are a few reviews on the Tube.
I just got my phone case. I went with the plain wood. I agree with brad1, it looks better in person. Perfect fit. Very nice. It fits in my phone holster too.
The desert has it's own charm and beauty. I've been to the Tuscon area and hiked around Saguaro National Park and the surrounding area. It is really cool to see the dramatic change at the higher elevation at Mt. Lemmon.
Sadly, the answer is no. We're too old for that! Ha.
Actually though, that "snow" is not really snow at all. Believe it or not, that's a glacier! I think it's the smallest one in Oregon.
Edit: here's a picture of me standing across from it
Sorry, but, am I to understand this is a 7 year old guitar that you just purchased and you're asking about problems related to the original factory setup??
Edit: is it NOS or previously owned?
