  1. Hmm I was wondering why I kept bumping into things behind me.. My neighbor had me play at his house today while some carpentry work was being done..
  2. 2nd amp partly as a backup, I could leave one where I jam and stereo sound is very cool. Also multiple amps slightly out of phase with each other creates a really nice sound texture, kind of a Phil Spector Wall of Sound kind of thing. I have a few other amps like my Fender Deluxe 900 modeling amp, and a Fender 100 half stack, but tone wise the Stage Right 15 kicks their A S S. In addition I have 6 battery powered Roland Micro Cubes that I acquired one at a time for practicing off the grid, like at a beach or jamming with Drum Circles. I do sometimes hookup all of my amps, but lately the simplicity of using the SR 15 and learning to tweak it has been very appealing. 🙂 Each of these Rolands with controls set slightly different..
  3. The Monoprice Stage Right 15 watt Tube Amp came back in stock today, again for $249.99 with Free shipping... Hmmmm, very very temped to get another one.. I just ordered my second one from the Monoprice eBay store...
  4. I love the sound of new strings, generally in retired life they last me about a month till they start sounding dead. When performing I always replaced them before playing on what ever guitars I was using, usually no more than 3 guitars.
  5. If you are a note bender, you need to pre stress your new strings until they set...
  6. The Gibson "The Paul" also came as Version I and II's which were indicated on the trussrod cover. Coming with a variety of types of humbuckers and with relief on the contoured edges (kind of like an SG) including a few with sculpted tops. The Kahler 2200 tremolo built for Gibson was first produced in 85, so this 84 "The Paul" most likely had it installed later. Also note that the Kahler 2200 required some material to be removed from the guitar to allow a little space for the cam-fulcrum and 2 springs. So there is a small hogged out area in the wood under the tremolo. These original Gibson/Kahler tremolos can sell used for around $300 and up depending on condition. Note: these original Gibson/Kahler tremolos seem to be very desirable.
  7. I am enjoying mine, built really well, tough as nails. While some reviews recommend upgrading one of the pre-amp tubes and or speaker, I like the stock configuration. Having played it side by side with a Blues Jr, my SR 15 holds its own quite well..
  8. The "Harley Benton Tube 15 W" is a Monoprice Stage Right 15 built specifically for Euro power requirements for Thomann to sell.. The Mono Price Stage Right 15 is for US power only.. Harley Benton Tube 15 at Thomann...
  9. I am really enjoying this amp as I get used to it. Easy to find the sound I want, usually running the gain on 5 (12 o'clock) produces a rich range of tones, for use with or without my pedals at most volume levels.. Currently these 15w Monoprice tube amps are listed as "out of stock" for some reason on most websites and causing the price of used SR 15's to increase in cost to around $300 and up. I wanted to get another new one but missed the last one being sold for $249... Anyway it sounds great with my P90's going through it.. Note: They are available with the Harley Benton brand, but they are Euro power only..
  10. Scroll up to the "Gibson" header at the top of this page and click on "Our Brands" then click on "Cerwin Vega"..
  11. That one would be pretty close, remembering that I purchased mine new almost 30 years ago.
  12. Mine came with the stock soft case, although I immediately got a new Gibson SG Deluxe Hard Shell for it, as recomended. I don't remember what happened to the soft case. The SG-X is a 24 fret wonder and deserves the best protection it can get.. 🙂
  13. Watched the SpaceX launch, Crew Dragon on its way to ISS.
  14. I think you need to a LP that specifically lists a 50's neck profile. Like this current Les Paul Standard 50's Or this current Les Paul Special with 50's neck profile and P90s... These Epiphones can be found used "1956 Les Paul Standard Pro" with 50's neck profile last made in 2014 I think..
