Didn't know they released a 2016 classic. Interesting. The 2014's are far from crappy btw. They were an exceptional year and model for fit finish and playability.

As far as the cosmetics of the 12th fret banner and the mini toggle.....subjective.

yes the classics are a limited edition but im wondering which one to buy the traditional or classic?

Really.. Where did you see that? Id like to look at what spec they are offering....

But really theres two main factors between the Classic and Trad, which is the neck size and the pickups....

Classics have slim taper necks (usually) and super hot pickups, Trads have fatter rounded profile necks and more traditional pickups...

currently its only available in europe as a limited edition but im hesitating between the trad and classic cause i had the traditional 2015 which i really loved

I heard the 2015 line up was the best ever and one day they'll be very valuable and collectible because not many sold and they only made them for 1 year. I'd go with that if I were you, then one day you'll be rich when you sell it

😂

I heard that also......I think from a flying pig.

The only place I've seen a 2016 LP Classic is Richtone here in the UK. IMO the Classics shown here have the wrong knobs, as they should be bell/ tophat ones, not speed knobs. Also, zebra pickups?... they should be all black on Classics, but other than that they look great! They're under the banner of 'proprietary' runs. Some other cool ones like the Les Paul Special (though a bit overpriced IMO) and the Firebirds with Lyre. Oh, there's an SG '61 RI too. Great stuff from the look of them all.

Here's the Classic;

Les Paul Special (Japan)... These look amazing!

Cool Firebird (but not keen on the tuners)

Cheers man...

And yeah I agree, its not a classic Classic :) But then they have been messing with them for the last few years now... I wonder if they just took up the issue that a lot of people don't like the usual ceramic twins that on the older Classics (which is actually one of the things I do like on my one)..

Still.. as you say, a nice guitar regardless... a lot of people want plain tops and that's a nice example of one.

In all my years of being here I've seen quite a few idiots but you are only the third person ever to have made it to my 'Ignore User' list.

Piss-off, ****wit.

Hi, Hoross.

You say had, refering to your 15.

Did you sell it?

If so, why?

And maybe you shold take a look at 7ender, PRS, Rickenbacker, Gretsch or another brand.

Because I suspect that the 16 models will be as crapy as the 15's and 14's.

Let those crapy Gibson's for us players that appreciate their wonderful crapyness!

u guys u dont understand what i ment.

I used to have a Gibby lp classic 2014 and i sold it cause i thought the guitar didnt fit for me and changed it for a lp traditional 2014 and later even bought an lp traditional 2015 which are both great.

But i was curious if the new lp classic 2016 dont have that db boost which i really hated, otherwise i get myself the lp standard 2015 or the new lp traditional 2016 .I will go check tomorrow at the guitar store.
