Rev Roy Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Wow! What a gorgeous guitar in looks and tone. Haven't had one with a nitro finish for a while and I'd forgotten how beautiful they are when applied right. Love the sound with the walnut...crisp but still the Gibson thump. And at this price point great bang for the buck. Action out of the box is too high...for me at least. But I want to make sure it's properly hydrated and played a bit before I take it in for the set up. It's been on the delivery road for a week due to the holidays. Bottom line: another very satisfied J-15 guy. My first Gibson...but something tells me it won't be the last. :D
AnneS Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Just lovely--can't wait to hear it! Might need one of these in the stable, too...
Rev Roy Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 She is a true beauty. Yep. Can't see it well in the pic...but there is some flaming on the right and left bottom of the back. Unique & cool.
Moose28 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The J15 truly is a great guitar. Not an entry level guitar at all. Stands up. Definitely a keeper.
Fullmental Alpinist Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Congratulations. Beautiful guitar and one that's well-loved around here.
DenverSteve Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Congrats. I'm sure you'll love it. Mine gets a lot of love.
Mickthemiller Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Nice - don't they have the most beautiful grain on the backs. I have had mine for about a month now, love it. Enjoy!
modoc_333 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Congratulations! Now wear that thing out! Keith
stephencoh Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Lovely. I've had my J-15 for about 10 days and love it. I'm a big fan of the walnut, both tonally and in looks.
