EVOL! Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 My internet searches on the flavors of cherry that SGs come in hasn't produced much so I'll throw the question out here. What is the difference between Heritage Cherry, Aged Cherry, and Antique Cherry? I know the later two are darker, but by how much? Am I missing any besides faded cherry?
jdgm Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Surely there is 'washed' cherry and vintage cherry too? Dark cherry? My LP is...dark cherry I think....
darling67 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Don't forget the rare Maraschino Cherry finish!
surfpup Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I had no idea there were that many flavors? I didn't either. Though I'm not too surprised... it's just marketing. I guess this faded is called faded cherry then... But I don't what my classic is called. I always figured it was just cherry.
jdgm Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Didn't gsgbass buy a faded cherry EB3/SG bass earlier this year?
kidblast Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Aged Cherry is dark, almost like many of the Wine Red finishes you will find For a comparison, here's a 95 Standard in Wine Red And here's another in classic "cherry"
EVOL! Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 I was hoping to see some of my fellow SG Classic owners posting.
