Avery
One of those custom Martins that costs way too much... But I got this in my inbox a couple days back...and I'm always intrigued by hearing a walnut guitar as I'm a J-15 owner. I know there's more than to sound than tonewood but I'm curious how you guys think this compares to a regular D-28. This one's also got an Adi top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q1Nq6fQTJw
kelly campbell
I am with you, being a J-15 owner as well I am always very curious to hear other walnut guitars. I have to admit I would gladly take that Martin.

Lars68
I like the tone and looks of walnut! However, I'm not so sure about the look of the enlarged soundhole and pickguard on that particular D-28. Tone trumps looks anyday, though. Are you tempted, Avery? BigKahune
. Seems nice. For me, $6K is too much for a D28. I see somebody grabbed it though, marked "Sold". .
Mickthemiller
I have a J15 and a Furch OM21 SW with a walnut back and sides. I'm really nutty about walnut, very underrated and could be the new rosewood substitute now that there are more restrictions on that wood. Martin should do more walnut guitars. zombywoof
The walnut body guitar I am always looking out for is a pre-1954 Epiphone FT-79. I own a 1956 maple body FT-79 but have not yet gotten my hands on the earlier version. It would help if I was not such a cheapskate.
fp
I like the sound of walnut guitars and this one in no exception. What I don't like is the look of the piece of walnut they used. I have gotten nicer looking and better quartered walnut at lumberyards !
Mafy31
I Forgot to add that i agree it is way overpriced. Larger soundhole Yup not sure what hole gets enlarged.
