Buc McMaster
Nah. This is the one you ought snap up..............'62 Hummingbird.......and it's even down under! The cut of mahogany on the back is beautiful......don't see much like that anymore.
AnneS
If they're gonna try a model like this, then you gotta use ebony for the board and bridge, fer Pete's sake. And a black guard. Silverburst could be interesting without the reds. Maybe added to the j45 variations, but on a Hummingbird? Just looks mixed up.
E-minor7
Used to think of these as heavy-rock-band-ballad-guitars, but see what you mean. May suit certain old people for whom the cherry and vintage orange-burned-brown is too flamboyant. No thanx, not me. Hey Annes, look here, , , this one from 07 takes the black'n'white all the way to the guard. But is it more like grey-pear burst. . http://www.ebay.com....%3D192234045569
j45nick
That just looks like a bad Chinese knock-off.
Jinder
That thing looks like a disappointed teatray. Not my cup of tea(tray) AT ALL. 😳
fortyearspickn
Yeah, I was thinking the burst looks like it was put on with a paintbrush and not artfully blended and faded like the typical H'Birds' are. Still - I'd be more inclined to go for that then spend over $8K for that beautiful '62. That guitar deserves a real player, not someone flush with cash.
