Even if true, they may be able to cause some localised convection but no way can they predict the effect with any certainty or accuracy. What do they do, heat up the clouds? The microwave oven comparison doesn't really hold up unless there's a giant potato airborne over Canada somewhere. Jet fuel exhausts are having a far greater effect on our atmosphere IMO.
