So is the $300,000 based on income tax matching through your business? I've always thought that was B.S. Every employee at my restaurant pays income tax, and every pay period, I have to pay in to match their taxes. I think if there was some visible evidence that increasing taxes (and consequently decreasing my profit and owner's draw) I might be a little more okay with it. But when an ever increasing debt is broadcast every day on every news station, and there's nothing to show for it except a bunch of one word catch phrases ("hope" and "change" as in "I hope this economic climate will change so I can actually make a profit sometime soon.") it gets a little disheartening. There are a lot of ways to look at the situation, too. For instance, several of the major companies in my town are laying off and shutting down. The guys who have been working there for years, taking care of their families only to get the boot when things are tough, I have no problem whatsoever with them getting a piece of what I pay in. The ladies that used to live above me, on the other hand... they moved in last July, and stopped paying their rent in September. It's illegal here to evict people during the winter months, so they got a free ride until April 1st. They threw alot of stuff away, because apparently 6 months is not enough time to pack when you know you're getting evicted. They piled up bags of clothes in the dumpster, which I sorted at donated to the Easter Seals, on the chance that people might actually need clothes. When I was cleaning up the clothes, I found a bunch of receipts - apparently the girls had money to buy cigarettes, but needed state assistance and food stamps for everything else. Knowing that there are people like that out there, who can afford to throw away 10 garbage bags full of clothes when there are 17 thrift stores in our city, who can spend $10 a day on cigarettes but not on food, and who work the system to live rent free - those people aren't looking out for anyone else. Why the hell should I look out for them?

Take the trillions in gov't spending, then divide by 300 million - the number of people in the United States.

 

Divide 300 million in half - only 150 million people in the United States actually pays taxes.

 

Then look at the portion each income group actually pays...

 

 

I've seen crazy numbers all over the map, but I can tell you that they ALL AGREE the Top Ten Percent of wage earners (just over $100,000 a year) pay the vast majority of taxes to the Federal Government.

 

Many taxpayers get back more than they pay in, PLUS they enjoy Public Funds by using taxpayer-funded programs.

 

You have to get a mighty long ways up the income ladder before the statistics show you actually pay more to the government than you use. With the average income in the United States somewhere in the low $30,000 range and the break even point somewhere above that on taxes, I know for a fact that I'm paying, paying, and paying.

 

 

 

Enjoying my status as a Top Ten Percenter and looking at what I give back in taxation on all levels (over 50%) I already have a pretty big number to start with every year.

 

THEN.....

We've thrown TRILLIONS of dollars down the shttter, and regardless whether it actually accomplishes anything or not, somebody has to pay for it.

 

Where does that money come from?

The government is now doing the equivalent of writing yourself a check for a million dollars and then getting somebody stupid enough to cash it. You might have your million dollars in your pocket, but when that check hits your bank....

 

They do one of three things.

 

They borrow the money - in recent years form the Chinese in the form of Treasuries. It has to be paid back at some point and the taxpayer is where the money comes from. If they don't pay it back this year, then the interest accrues and must be paid.

Same as having a credit card maxed at $50,000 - you can't use it but you still have to pay $2,000 a month on it for what?

 

They print more money and devalue the currency - this is the MOST DANGEROUS thing a gov't can do.

Google "Zimbabwe currency" or "Wiemar Republic" to see what THAT gets you.

This is another trick the Defeatocrats are using and Obummer is telling you the Titanic is stopping for ice...

Even the Chinese and the French are telling us how stupid this is!!!

 

They raise taxes to cover the 'shortfall' in capital for government spending - this is where nobody seems to understand that the hard truth does not go away. WE CAN'T AFFORD IT! There's no way you can tax a nation at a rate equal to its GDP.

 

No matter which option you choose (Obama is being safe - using ALL THREE!) the cost is paid by the taxpayer.

Sooner or later it comes back to the only people who really contribute to an economy - those who ACTUALLY EARN MONEY.

 

So, here we are with a GDP on the way down and gov't spending headed up to match it.

Think of it as 100% tax rates.

 

If you buy a pack of gum for $1, the tax will make it $2.

 

If you buy a new car with all the smoking discounts and bailout money in place, a $40,000 car that you bought for $30,000 will automatically cost you $60,000.

 

If we don't pay this off NOW, we're all basically making the $2,000 monthly payment on maxed credit cards we can't use!

 

Wanna buy a house now?

No?

 

So everybody stops spending, everybody loses their jobs, the gov't goes broke because there's no tax revenue....

Sooner or later, the gov't will run out of other people's money.

 

People are so afraid because everything is SO BAD now, they're allowing the Defeatocrats to make it infinitely worse.

 

 

So I already have money in the bank that's worth less every day, a few Democrat-poisoned investments that will soon be worth nothing, a home that's worth 1/3 what it originally sold for, and then I look at how much more expensive EVERYTHING will be if the Defeatocrats get to do it their way.

 

This Green bullsh!t is gonna jack up your electric bill so high you'll unplug your fridge (I'm in the power industry) and will drive petroleum costs up to make any by-products unaffordable.

(Look around you right now - find something made without petroleum. You can't....)

 

Your water bill is gonna jump, your sewage costs will jump even more, and people will start dumping their trash on the road because they can no longer afford to pay for a service.

 

Lumber will skyrocket like you've never seen, concrete is already at record prices.

 

EVERYTHING YOU DO is gonna cost ALOT more no matter who you voted for if these idiots continue unchecked.

 

 

 

So, take the taxes I already pay every year, add the cost of the "bailout" to it, and then look at where the prices are going on everything else. Businesses failing left and right, car dealerships, restaurants, clothing stores, guitar shops, and tell me HOW this is better?
