I think this is one of the best epis ever.

Well' date=' it certainly looks neat, and I love me some mini-humbuckers like nobody knows.

The price point is perfect, too. I'm going to have to check one out some time.

Know of any sound demos online?[/quote']

Youtube is your friend.

My guitar teacher got it and this guy is an epi hater.

I think their Elitist line they used to produce were top notch - I would put them up against any Gibson off the line. Now they only produce the Elitist Casino. One of the great things about the Elitist line was their consistancy; very few flaws came off the line. Sadly, that cannot be said about the regular Gibsons being produced.

This is the best Epi I've ever played: Elitist Dot

I can't decide if I like the Wilshire shape/looks

Epiphone's solidbody guitars have never terribly interested me... if I stumbled upon a Kalamazoo-made Wilshire or something for a reasonable price, I'd buy it, but I wouldn't seek one out. I definitely wouldn't seek out the modern reissues, though I like the approach they're taking - more of the Epiphone designs.

The later model Epiphones remind me a lot of some of the German guitars of the 50s and 60s - George Harrison had a Futurama that was shaped very much like those Epiphones. I prefer the symmetrical early-60s versions of the Wilshire and company.

I'm not a big fan of "road worn" but I see some potential. That thing was born to be modded.

Acutal...the tuners are **** and the pups sounded really nice. Yes it needs a bone nut.

Ok...mabye you were right.
