GibSinCity
The most obvious difference between the Bucket Head Les Pauls and the usual Les Paul model is it's bigger 27" scale. And I would imagine an original Bucket Head Les Paul case would be hard to find if you need one, since a regular aftermarket case or gig bag would be too small. It is from the original run of 60. Best of all it is never been played, it has remained in its box since purchase. I’ve only taken it out for condition check and for photos. How would I gauge how much it’s worth. Because everything ( the only 2) out there are played and not from the run of 60. mines never played and from the 60 run so I’m a little stuck. Who do I approach to get an appraisal or find collectors? cheers Late to this party but is it for sale?
Pinch
I got dizzy reading his Wikipedia page. Didn't know much about him before. I guess I still don't.
Lungimsam
Why is it oversized? Is it a Baritone?
Pinch
He released 118 solo albums in 2015, according to Wikipedia. Who IS this guy? I'm intrigued.

He is a shredder type guitarist and his real name is Brian Patrick Carroll. He was born in Cali, somewhere. His stuff is hit and miss (with me at least). He was in a band called The Deli Creeps and also Praxis (I like the Praxis album and would recommend it, Booty Collins is on it). He did quick stint in Guns and Posers. He loves sci fi movies and incorporated it into his music. He claims he was raised in a chicken coop. He famously wears a KFC bucket on his head and a white facemask when he plays. I have some of his stuff. Be careful and do samples of albums before you get them, cause they can be weird. I've tried to see him a few times and it just did not work out. Go on YT and watch a song called Jordan. If you dig that you might like him. He's hitting the Kill Switch hard on Jordan. Edited April 16, 2020 by Sgt. Pinch
I remember seeing pics of him in Guns, but I never dug deeper, because... well, it's a guy with a KFC bucket on his head.
Evilive1999
You've never seen him? He's a great live act. I saw him perform twice. Impressive that a one man show can entertain a crowd for almost 2 hours but he's really got chops. It's an experience for sure. Mesmerizing player. What it lacked in sound quality, it made up for in attitude.
01GT eibach
Buckethead is a trippy dude. Stellar guitar playing but with almost a scary movie serial-killer persona. John 5 too -- I have seen him live. Very talented. John 5:
D Big Daddy M
I finally found one that is part of the original run. White black white black white binding, Grovers, real ebony and in mint condition (still has stickers on back control plates). White is antiqued some but not yellow. I really like the size and scale. Been playing with the tunings. Fun.
Dropdeee
Also late to the party but I've owned one of these guitars since 2014. I purchased it from a collector in the US and shipped it to Australia. I've played it maybe 5-10 times max and even then, just a few simple soft Buckethead songs as I'm not much of a player. I haven't so much as taken it out of the case since 2018. As I've been recently considering selling it I did some research this morning and came across this thread. After reading about the 'first 60' made with Grovers, ebony fret-board and unique binding, I checked mine and confirmed my suspicion that mine too is one of the first 60. Although it's a nice creamy colour now, far from the Alpine White, it's in pristine condition with no marks or scratches of any kind. I've listed in on my local For Sale platforms and will likely open it up on the international platforms soon too. I have to laugh at the earlier post from 2009 where some guy was adamant these guitars would not be worth more than the original sale price. They're double to even triple now.
