And they hint that a McCartney Casino is in the works.

I have to admit that even I'm a bit curious about say..an Elitist level Crestwood Custom ????... but the last thing Macca needs is more money from some hokey endorsement deal. The only difference is the headstock and the color of the knobs and pick up covers (and a Bigsby) and that will add up ultimately to a minimum $300 up-charge over a post-'63-styled model...pleeeeeeze.... then again, maybe Macca got raped in that divorce settlement and needs the extra dosh...

...and Al's your uncle.

No Pre-nup.

Allow me to quote Donald Trump...

"Honey, you are incredibly beautiful and you are the most amazing woman I have ever laid eyes on.

You are without a doubt the woman of my dreams and I want to spend my entire life with you...

now sign here."

You're pleased because he hasn't received the magazine? 8-[

You crack me up Gary! That was a good example of how interesting it can be when someone gets a reply in before you. And thanks for caring. ha ha O:)

Since the run of Lennon reissues seems about to be sold out, a Macca signature reissue looks to present Epi with the opportunity to bring another similarly priced (and quality) instrument to market. There's probably an audience who would buy a reissue like that for its collectable potential, another audience who would buy for nostalgic or sentimantal reasons, and another audience that would buy to get a vintage spec instrument with a Bigsby.

Plus it's good PR for modern-day Epiphone to be associated with McCartney. And it probably does him some good, too. I bet there's more than a few younger forum members reading this wondering who he is and why anyone would want a reissue of his guitar. And say, wasn't he the bassist?

Plus, since the guitar will (hopefully) be made by the fine Luthiers in Japan, and will be priced accordingly, owners won't have to feel guilty about any potentail exploitation of the Chinese.

Gotta go practice the Taxman solo in anticipation.

You must not be married.

Here is the deal -- GAS, it never goes away. There is always some new Epi out there that I've gotta have. And either fortunately or unfortunately (depending on ones perspective) I need a wife more than I need another guitar.

Heheh... Yep, you got it.. I'm free as bird! (Just don't tell my girlfriend I said that!) And unfortunately, I'm far too acquainted with the dynamics of GAS... (I was just being facetious in that last post...) But if I don't stop buying Epis, I'm never gonna have the money for my upper-scale GAS!

Yes, happily single by choice for nearly 25 years now. See, it happens (ok, once) that the guitar gets you the girl, but never, ever, has a girl got me a guitar. I'm just sayin'...
