unreal77 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 check the epi blog. They go for the "hint, hint".
MaxHart85231281734137 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 niiice but i bet if they do it it will be an American made high $$$$$ model not the ones we are lookn for
unreal77 Posted November 12, 2009 Author Posted November 12, 2009 i'm sure of that too. When they said that they want to replicate the finish... ouch. Now it will be babyshambles.
clarkuss Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Hopefully it will be another high end USA run followed by a chinese reissue. I'd love to have a coronet in my collection.
Fadedepi Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 If it happens , my guess would be Chinese reissue first, to see if it sells. Followed with a Gibby high end, just like they did the Wilshire. Faded...
jonnyg Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Seems to me that since the Wilshire, Coronet and Olympic Double all share the same body and neck, Epiphone could be banging out all three models in no time flat if they had the will to do so. The Crestwoods would take a little more effort as they have the neck binding, block inlays etc but it would still be far from impossible to do those too. Whether anyone would actually want to buy them of course is another question. I've always really fancied a Coronet, there's nothing so desirable as that you can't get or can't afford, but if it was readily available I know I'd start asking myself, can I really live without the front pickup? JG
MaxHart85231281734137 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 i would really like a cheap version of the new willshire that they sell for like $2,000, i really like the double cutaway on it
EpiEric Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 i would really like a cheap version of the new willshire that they sell for like $2' date='000, i really like the double cutaway on it [/quote'] I'm with ya. I'd be all over an affordable Wilshire reissue with the 62 body shape and P90s. Although if they are going to do the Les Paul Special as was hinted on another thread, they may not want to launch two 2 P90 guitars at once. But a one p90 Coronet would be fun, too.
duane v Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 What I cant undesrstand is why cant Epiphone make a USA made Coronet or Olympic for $899 street price.... The Gibson SG faded and Satin Junior series guitars can be had for that price....
MaxHart85231281734137 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 some band pete doherty was in.....i dont get em but across the pond they act like the guy is clapton or somthing....no offense to the pete lovers
JohnMcClane5000 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 What the hell is a baby shambles???? It's a *cough* terrific *cough* band from the UK.... Head being no one less than Pete Doherty...
wrighty3693 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 People like him as a song writer, but he's not the most musical of people. Im an English Man myself and people don't treat him with as much respect as Clapton. Claptop was English too so to be honest the judgement isnt really biased by location people.
maniak Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Why is Eric Clapton like a cup of coffee??? Cuz i got no use for either of them without Cream.
