Live Forever
I love the look of that guitar. The Body shape and the Rainbow paint job just look amazing. Does anyone own one of these? If so what do you think of it? Or even if you don't do you think it would be worth buying?Cool Right
dbreslauer
I had one, but recently traded it in for a Les Paul Junior Special. I loved the appearance of the zoot, and it sounded great. It was a bit heavy for my taste though, and it could also benefit from separate volume and tone controls for each pup. It was a very solid guitar, just not for me. Hope this helps! neilpanda
yea...they were cool. when they came out and I first got it. I played it and it sounded REALLY cool. I liked it and I still do like it but I was tight on my money, and I sold it. the guitar didnt really fit my style of playing and I never would have used it on stage. nevertheless, the guitar looks awesome and is a pretty solid guitar. and I might buy another one in the future. new color perhaps? anyway, I like the guitar and I give it a thumbs up
BigKahune
. I passed on it - the laminated look is not for me.
Dub-T-123
I like the rainbow one. Only thing is I'm not crazy about the pickups. But that can be changed. I also prefer 2 tone and 2 volume but I can live with 2. If I found a rainbow one for really cheap I'd buy it.

Don Was it neck heavy? I can't believe the body was that heavy. I would think the plywood type construction would be very light.
neilpanda
If I found a rainbow one for really cheap I'd buy it. I searched around and the zoot suits sell for $999...the thing is I cant find a rainbow one...but I like the blue-red one, it represents the spiderman in me LOL
Duende
I really enjoyed the playability of the Zoot suit and it is another guitar that IF I had had the spare cash, I would have pulled the trigger. The feel of it made quite an impression on me. Matt
sparky scott 29
I think it's more of a novelty.. I guess I would hang it on the wall if I had one.. A good conservation piece as well as a decoration to boot... Cool to look at though..
dbreslauer
it could have been my perception of the weight, but it was definitely heavier than any of my other guitars: I guess my chambered LP has spoiled me... :-) you have to hold one to believe it: it really does have a very solid feel to it. I replaced it with a LP jr special which I admit does not feel any lighter, and in actuality is probably heavier. the zoot and I just never really connected. don
