ksdaddy
No hope for it. Pull the sheet over it and fill out the toe tag. I told it to wait an hour after eating to go swimming in the lake. Water damage I wouldn't pay $500 for it but I would pay half that. I would attempt (big word there) to stabilize it and make it playable but with no delusions of ever making it right. Pretty expensive wall hanger otherwise.
EuroAussie
Yep, darn shame. I wonder what actually is possible to be done in such a situation, is it at all salvageable ?
ksdaddy
I can't imagine how those wrinkles could be flattened out. Probably impossible. However if it could be made functional it would be a helluva camping guitar. Or a nice clock.
livemusic
I can't imagine asking $500 for that.
BigKahune
Wow. That took a serious soaking. Brutal. I wonder if he got a settlement and the insurance company let him keep the guitar ?
57classic
I saw that. What a mess! $500? The case probably isn't salvageable. He must be taking a flyer knowing what it will cost to replace.
Gibson101
Couldn't imagine paying for that but I would love to have it to try and fix.
MissouriPicker
If I knew what I was doing when it comes to repairing guitars, I'd go for it.

McDuff
"What’s lost is lost, we can’t regain what went down in the flood" - Bob Dylan. What beautiful music would that guitar have made? Sadly it seems pretty beyond repair.
Acousticologist
played a private function for some folks, and they put me next toe the pool... I had visions of this kind of horror.... luckily no victims here.
