Also, it never really hits you how much bigger an ES is compared to an LP until you get to see them side by side. Must be loads of fun to play. dbreslauer Posted March 27, 2011 Author Share Posted March 27, 2011 thanks everyone! I've been playing most of the day today, mostly experimenting with amp settings and getting a feel for it. The guitar is BIG, and has a surprising mass to it too. I'd always thought that semi-hollowbody would be lighter, but nope. I'm also finding after playing a bit both sitting and standing that i really like the feel of the larger instrument. It's a fun one to play: if you get a chance to try one, i highly recommend it: you'll see. It scratches a totally different itch than the "LP or Strat" norm. The pictures above don't do the Blue justice. The flash brings the figure out a lot, it's actually much more subtle under normal light.
