Sinner 13
So, Long story short, I am seriously considering the 60's tribute SG to round out the P-90 arsenal. Who here has ordered from S.W.? How were they to deal with if a problem should occur? How securely were the items shipped? I really could use some serious responses here, because I could potentially pull the trigger on this as early as this afternoon. Thanks in advance. ChanMan
I did, and promptly had my CC company call and reissue my card as it had been compromised. That notwithstanding, their customer service should be role model for the industry, and my Les Paul jump drive was delivered promptly, and with candy in the box. saturn
I've ordered small items from Sweet Water and have been very pleased. They are real big on service and will bend over backwards to make sure you're pleased. They take Paypal too.

Crocstar6
ChanMan, what kind of candy was it?
ChanMan
Hmmm.... I want to say peppermint stars and Kraft toffees, but I don't recall exactly. I'm diabetic, so the kids ate it.
sloopy
By far the best online retailer, IMO. I haven't personally ordered a guitar from them, but they are my go-to for smaller stuff.
Komandirskie
Bought my Fender Frontman from them..Got a call from a personal sales rep the day I ordered to pretty much just talk gear with me. Great service.
retrosurfer1959
I've orderred three guitars from them over the last few years that I could not find locally and I sent one back because it was not finished well in my opinion (nothing wrong just a bad color match on the face) and they were great no questions asked on return they said you bet we understand, even photographed two others they had so I could get the one I liked best. the salesperson later called me after I got the guitar to make sure I liked it because they got another one in with a better top (i'd already bonded with mine so I didn't swap it but cool offer) they have great sales people, one even told me the product I wanted to buy had a competitors coupon and lower price for the weekend, that they would match, he told me where to get the coupon and saved me $150 bucks. One of the few on line big box retailers I would ever use.
BigKahune
. I've bought a few pieces of gear from them. Never a problem. I like that they post pics of the specific individual guitars for sale (not standard advertising shots). Last year I ordered a Ric 360/12 from them. Delivered without incident in flawless condition. Dennis G
I've bought 3 guitars from them and various pieces of gear. The last guitar I bought was an Elitist Casino, (at a sale price thanks to my sales rep) that I ordered in May. It arrived at SW in September. Got a call from my rep who told me it was in and he'd get it through their inspection/setup process that day and ship it the next. Later that day he called back to tell me they found a ding on the back. He emailed pix so I could see it. It was a small (1/8" or so) indent on the back. He said I could take that one and they'd work out a price or wait for the next, my choice. I waited, and one week later I had a new Casino. They're service is excellent, including follow through to make sure you're happy. You're not "some guy who happened to place an order". They take your business seriously and their service reflects that. Also, if you're buying a guitar that's in stock, you see the actual photos of the one you want, with serial # so you can pick and choose. Highly recommended. Sinner 13
so it seems they get high marks in general, and the customer service sounds more than respectable, might have to wait a few weeks on this purchase. Damn priorities......
insanityVSchaos
I have ordered from Sweetwater before, but small items only. Their customer service is great -- they follow up after your order to make sure everything was alright. Also, I remember them sending candy in the box before (but not on the latest order -- but I don't like candy anyhow). Anyways, I recommend them.
