rocketman
If I were to ever get a Les Paul with P-90 pickups, this would be it.

Riptide
Do those have a maple or mahogany top? And is the top carved like most LPs or is it flat like the Juniors?
BigKahune
. Mahogany body with a flat top (no carve, no maple).

Riptide
Hey Dave - I think the Jr has one pup. There are some Juniors with 2 pups but I think that they are right about this being a LP Special because I've never seen a Jr. in that color. Juniors are always one p-up although not all one-pup models are Juniors. A 'Junior' in that creamy-yellow colour is called a 'TV' model. The two-pup model is always a 'Special' regardless of the colour. P.
DiamondJig
It looks to me like a custom shop LP Special, wrap around bridge/trail piece slab mahogany body. http://www.gibson.com/jp-jp/Divisions/Gibson%20Custom/Les%20Paul/1960%20Special%20Single%20Cutaway/ I prefer the double cut special myself http://www.gibson.com/jp-jp/Divisions/Gibson%20Custom/Les%20Paul/1960%20Special%20Double%20Cutaway/
jnastynebr
Its a Special that is at least a few years old, but not a vintage or reissue. It has the modern version of the wrap around tail piece, so its either a modern model or has some modern replacement parts. The newer ones come with the tune-o-matic bridge. Franzi
Back in the 1950's the Les Paul Special had a bound fingerboard. Through the years there have been some small details in the specs varying here and there.
