Red 333
Nice, Clark! Love that Hofner archtop, too! How'd you sand the Casino? Red
clarkuss
The Hofner is my new favourite. A christmas present from my girlfriend. She's very good at putting up with my constant guitar chat and didn't bat an eyelid when I bought those two Rivieras! Behind every guitar collection is an understanding woman. I actually bought the Casino already modded with the sanding, black knob and washer. Frank Canino who has played with The Fab Four, Britbeat and American English sold it to me last year in its current state. The nut recently broke at the low E which I'm quite pleased about because it was cut quite Bass Heavy which gives me a good excuse to get a Corian nut, nylon saddles and gold grovers installed when it goes into the shop next. hekawi
very cool indeed. you must be "John" in Them Beatles, then? quite an excellent and authentic collection. i played one of those Lennon Rickenbackers once, what a small scale! it felt like a child's guitar. Anthony_J
Sweet collection!! Oh and for the record, sanding a Casino is a pain in the rear! Glad to have read you didn't do that yourself.

mgrasso
Nice collection Clark. Love the Rivieras. You do need one with the minis though. Love the Them Beatles site and videos. Can see why you have been scarce over the past year. That kind of dedication takes time. Great stuff. Keep it going. Mark
RaSTuS
I've tried to load your site Clark but just get a blank page, I've tried using Firefox 3.6.17 and Konqueror 4.6.3 (webkit), both running on Linux.

clarkuss
Thanks guys! One of the Rivieras has a case of heel crack so I might be sending it back to the seller. It seems solid to me but I don't really fancy spending the time/money getting it checked out and I have a habit of selling guitars on after a while so I'm also worried it's going to affect its resale value. I still want a Riviera with mini humbuckers as well, more so than the full sized ones! As most of my guitars are with the band equipment, my Riviera(s) will be my main non-beatle guitar for now. Thanks for all the comments about the band. Don't know why some can't see the website. It needs a good overhaul anyway but I'm useless when it comes to that sort of thing. It's good to do something I enjoy and also gives me an excuse to amass a load of gear :)
