Well I posted this over in Amps and Accessories and had 145 views and not 1 single suggestion...So I'll give it shot here. I just got myself a DR-500MCE VS and am now looking for an inexpensive amp for home use...Any suggestions? I'll even post some more pictures [thumbup]

Hi -

I have a Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP. Use it for all of my acoustic guitars, plus my Casino. It's versatile, I play in small cafe-style settings, or in the backyard. I'm sure there are better engineered and sounding amps, but this one works for me.

Regards,

Vox Pathfinder 15R-has reverb, tremolo, headphone jack and footswitchable boost. It's solid state but sounds convicingly tube like for around $125.The Fender Blues Jr.-very versatile amp with a great spring reverb unit sweet sounding for just about any guitar and very very clean sounding for about $500.I use both amps with my Epi EJ-160-E John Lennon,my Stratacoustic and my Yamaha FG 346 SB and they both bring out the best acoustic tones and keep clean even when cranked pretty good.

Thanks for the suggestions I really appreciate it. My post over on Amps and Accessories now has over 400 views and still not one single reply...I guess I offended them with asking about an amp for an acoustic guitar [confused]

I now have a Kustom 30 RC which I dearly love and use on(small)stage with my Masterbilt, though I got it for the day I'd have an electric again. For practice (or, perhaps, an even smaller stage), I always thought I'd like to have one of those Epi 15-watt-ers in the P4e package, but you can't get 'em apart from the package with the POS guitar. Maybe some of the older Epi acoustic amps, if you see one used, on ebay, etc.

The sub shop where I have a regular gig has one of those Fender Acoustasonic amps, and I give a +1 to the opinions expressed on this thread about that box. Does the job, though I'm awfully glad Potbelly, Inc. picked up the tab for it!

+1 on the Fender Blues Jr. I have that exact same acoustic plus 10 other guitars (electric and acoustic) and play them all through my blues Jr NOS. It has an awesome clean sound for the acoustics and plays well with stomp box overdrive pedals (the OCD being my favorite) and any other EFX boxes, especially the L6 M9. Not too big and heavy but a lot of sound for a 15w tube amp.

I just got the same guitar. I'm loving it so far. I picked up a Behringer AT108 from MF for 70$. Not a bad little practice amp. Most in this price range have a 6" speaker, The behringer has an 8". Good luck with your search.

Tim
