John Lennon Inspired By Casino

Recommended Posts

Was in my local music shop the other day when i came across this. I didnt pay much attention at the time, but had a feel of it, and i liked the feel of the finish. Ive always been a fan of these natural Casinos - probably because of Lennon - which is why it caught my eye. I was only in for polish so never thought about picking it up.

Ive sold a few guitars recently, so now thinking about my next purchase, so im thinking about a Casino, and think this might be the way to go - something that will compliment my Gibson 355, having the P90's.

Im not getting much reviews/opinions when searching, so thought id ask - owners of the Inspired By Casinos, what are your opinions?

Man, you are asking here at an Epiphone site for opinions of the Inspired By Lennon Casino? That's like asking, "What do you think of Derek Jeter?" at Yankee Stadium.

The Inspired By Lennon Casino is FABULOUS! And here's the best part of that review. You will get that same review at any guitar forum. Fender, Gretsch, Ric, Gibson...all guitar players who have an Inspired By love them. They look classic, they play fantastic, and they sound incredible. I honestly can not think of anything I do not like about my Inspired by Lennon Casino.

If you want specifics, ask away; but the general review is they are the greatest guitar you will buy for the price you pay.

Although my John Lennon Casino is the limited editions the inspired bys are suppose to be very similar in build quality and playability.MY J.L. Casino is my favourite of my 30 guitars it's a joy to play and quite literally hard to put down oncve you pick it up.I also have an MIC natural Casino that's a superb guitar in its own right, not quite up to the standards of the J.L. but all in all a great guitar.Aside from that wonderful sparkle of the P-90s the feel of the Casino when you're playing it will keep you coming back to it.I love my J.L. Casino so much that I keep it in my bedroom-not for carnal purposes lol, but to have it close at hand whenever I feel like playing.

"Revolution Casino" (USA version) has single piece mahogany neck, and 2 hole truss

rod cover. The IB "Revolution" Casino has the 3-piece mahogany neck (scar joints at

the headstock, and heel) and a 3-hole truss rod cover. The USA version, has Gibson's

truss rod adjustment nut, I haven't seen which kind, the IB Casino's have. Gibson

style, or Chinese "well" version, as is on the P-93 Riviera. The IB Casino's I've seen

and played, were amazing instruments. Fit, finish, and authentic look. Like Duane said,

the only differences, are the small things mentioned, cosmetically. They play and sound

fantastic. I've played (in store) several of both the '65, and the Revolution. All were

great players, and lookers!

Thanks for the replys.

It was really the feel of the laquer that shocked me, totally different from the normal Casinos. Knowing the electrics in it are Gibson, it does look like a way to go.

Probably give it a couple of weeks, and if im still in love with it, ill pull the trigger.

I saw an IBJL Casino in natural/blonde satin finish in town the other day, they wanted $1,649 for it and I wouldn't give them more than $300 for it, the finishing around the f-holes was atrocious, all uneven with drips everywhere, extremely sub-par.
