Duende
Just saw this on member Roger Lewis' facbook page and it was too cool not to repost. I love the way it is such candid footage, you can really feel the atmosphere of the party!

zombywoof
Great flippin' clip. Looks like he is playing the early 1950s Epiphone he bought in NYC. If so that is the guitar he worked out the tunes on Electric Ladyland with. It went up for auction around 2001 and fetched something like $77,000. Guest WiseAxe
Well, there're two acoustic guitars that soaked up some serious mojo. I wonder where they are now. Thanks for posting, guys. ... Very few guitarists who are mostly known for their skills on the Electric are able to pull it off so well on the acoustic. He's just playing (& listening to) the guitar that was handed to him at that party, that night. Also wondering where Jimi's music would've taken him if he were around today. Gilliangirl
Wow, he really knew his way around a guitar, didn't he?! I love how 'the Hendrix sound' comes through loud and clear, even without the advantage of all the bells and whistles. So cool.

MissouriPicker
Great stuff on Hendrix. Never seen either one of them before. I like the videos where he does more than play a guitar. In these we get to see him as a human being. For decades all many people have known of him is that he was a drug addict who was one-hell-of-a guitar player. These films also show him as a human being.....Nicely done.
