Why does the Dot feel SO GOOD?

I was playing my Lefty Cherry Dot last night acoustically and I love that guitar. The neck is so comfortable to me and I can just flow playing around on the neck. I'm not a great lead player but I find this guitar gets the best out of me and it does sound good not plugged in too!!

Happy day when I found this one !! \:D/

Nice..How do you like the stock pups?

I like the stock pups alright. But I only plug it in every couple weeks.

When I was playing it a lot, I was considering replacing the neck pickup for something less muddy (like a P-90). However,I now have a 2011 Gibby Les Paul 60's Tribute with P-90's and I love that sound so I will stick to the humbuckers on my Dot!!

I was a solid body only guy for most of my life, but about 10 years ago I got really curious about 335's. I'm a blues player, and had seen so many guys with them. Finally got a Hamer Echotone, and then a Sheraton, then a Dot, Dot Deluxe, & P-93. I had no idea they could be so comfortable and have such great tones (until that point, I thought they were big and boxy, 'old man guitars'). I love going to gigs and jams and taking a 335 when everyone else has a Fender. I beat them on tone everytime (I upgrade PU's on all my guitars).

I got a Dot in natural last summer, with a big, dark mahogany neck. I put in a pair of Duncan Seth's. Wow. Talk about vintage sound.

I bought mine around 2 years ago new. It too is natural color w/ mahogony neck and, i absolutly love it. Aside from the slightly scratchy tone controls, i like the sound of it too. I play clean stragiht thru the amp noodling around with off the head blues riffing and just messin around, it is a nice change of pace from playing my strat. It is comfortable to play and, the action is excellent. I think it was well worth the money that i paid for it. Enjoy your dot my friend. I sure enjoy mine.

Get one in stock if you can. It is a great guitar!!

I assume that they feel the have the Sheraton available for lefties is enough  I did have one years ago but I think that this is a better guitar even though it is not "as pretty" !!

Yeah....I feel the same as you!!! My Dot is the most played guitar in my small collection. It is a little bit "big" to hold, but it plays so beautiful.

Really nice guitar.
