martinh
Sad. I must have played " Back in the USA" about a million times when I was a teenager. I assume there's only Kramer, Smith and Thompson left now? Being in the MC5 seems only fractionally more healthy than being in the New York Dolls. T Bone
Sad, another native Son of the Detroit area moves on. They were one of the area's first Jam Bands, described now on Wiki as Proto Punk. They were innovators. Loud, hard rocking and in their element, they blazed trails for others to follow, such as Grand Funk Railroad and Iggy Pop and The Stooges, and brought Detroit notoriety for sounds other than the classic Motown sound of the 1960's. RIP Man, Kick Out The Jams!

Fred Sonic Smith passed away years ago. Sad indeed.
