I sold my Gibson SJ Woody Guthrie today. Real sorry to see it go,but

economic times dictated that I do so. :(

I hymned and hawed about which one of my two remaining acoustics

to keep ,and elected to keep my Martin OM-21.Being a Gibson forum I'm

sure most will not agree with my choice.

I will remain active on this forum even though it hurts to be "Gibsonless".

I maintain it is certainly one of the better guitar

communities around .

No judgement here. I'm just sorry to hear that you had to sell a guitar you really enjoyed.

Hang in there.

Hey Ken ... life is good when ya can own and play a Martin OM-21 .... a recent thread here talked about Karma .............. If your Karma is good, a better Gibson will come along! Keep on pickin' that OM and hang in with thsi group.

Can't imagine havin to sell mine - would def be a sad day! As said before, hang on in there and you'll find yourself with another Gibson someday.

A few things.

My Martin has a full lifetime warranty .( Big consideration)

Been leaning towards a preference to the 1 3/4 nut width.

Ren Ferguson left .

Size comfort of the OM model.

Just kidding on the third reason....

"Gonna Miss My Woody".......they actually have pills for that now.......

I just knew my subtle attempt at humour would not go un-noticed by onewillyfool....

I'm managing so far . Not feeling "Blue" yet.

You know, I was just joking....selling that guitar must have been a bitter pill to swallow.....(I wish I could have bought it!!!) Woody's are swell....

It was hard to let it go.

Sorry, thing must be tough. Two things we try not to sell atour home: musical instruments and fire-arms. At least you still have one goodone to play.

Well it's sad to lose a fully paid up member of the Woody fanclub, but Emeritus status is highly respected. In any case, some fine music has been cut on 21 series Martins. I thought the following might be appropriate, but copyright means that the original is not up on the tube at present, so we'll have to settle for a banjo instead of the Martin:
