Power supply advice

Recommended Posts

Im putting together a pedal board and have the following pedals:- dd-3, joyo classic chorus, 2 joyo ultimate drive's, karma fx rams head muff and polytune. I would preferably like a power supply with 6 or more isolated outputs. I have a budget of £40-£50. Any suggestions? Ive looked at the Harley Benton Power plant but does anyone recommend anything else?

More money than you want, but the Voodoo 2 fits a Pedal Train board perfectly.

That is what I am running on my Pedal Train 2 board with it full of pedals.

The Whammy pedal takes 18 volts, and there are two dedicated lines that will pump out 18 volts, while the others are 9 volts.

You can also daisy chain a few low voltage pedals off of the same output if needed.

Unfortunately I cant raise my budget high enough to purchase the PP2+. Size isnt too much of a problem because Im building the pedal board from stuff lying around the house. I should therefor be able to mount it underneath without too much problem

Honestly man just get a onespot. A onespot will be fine for that. Even though it's not isolated, it has high mA output and isn't noisy.

What he said... You'll save a lot of money. I bought a daisy chain extention with extra long wire between the 9v plugs and it works like a dream. No noise /buzz of any kind... You just need to check that you won't draw more power the the transformer puts out. Most pedals don't use that much power so if you have a good transformer, say a 1Spot or Boss that's powering them you will not need anything else. Use that for now and when you have more budget go the isolated route...
