  1. A university funded study must be done to weight in.
  2. Your not gonna find a variable resistor in a passive guitar circuit. There what 10 to 15 bucks. What you think Gibson is paying for a crate of them? It’s like digital stuff in chips it’s easier to use NAND Gates and make it simulate other gates. Then the program only has to make one gate. Better Faster Cheaper. The dumb stuff I remember.
  3. I guess you would have to tap the ground off the jack’s ground. So how are are the other acoustic/ electric’s doing it then?
  4. Oh I thought this was an expensive Gibson. Carry on.
  5. I don’t ever remember simulating getting underway. We pulled in the mooring lines and off we sailed.
  6. You talking about Langley the city, or the AF Base. Langley AFB is in Hampton, VA next to NASA. Langley the city is by DC, I believe.
  7. I lived in Newport News, VA from 2002 - 2019 (retired form the Coast Guard in 2011). I loath VA. Especially that area. The closer you get to the shipyard by the numbered streets the worse that area is. Richmond has fun stuff to do, but its just another big-er-ish city. Williamsburg has lots of cool historical stuff. Yorktown to, but try to afford to live there.
  8. FLA is like SC, seems like anything goes.
  9. I stayed in Hollywood once and there was a dog track across the street from my hotel.
  10. We always stayed in Hollywood (not the one in Cali) when I had to go there to work at Dania Beach. Worked on both sided of FLA. To me it all looks the same, the Pan Handle, the Atlantic side, the Gulf side.
  11. It's storage related if it was stored (not in a case), leaning against a chair and then gravity took its toll.
  12. She had to have grown up Catholic. Did that thing on SNL. Renounced here religion, and converted to Islam, and changed her name to Magda Davitt. I used two listen to her first to albums when she was popular. Then the one came out with all the covers on it and the only song I could listen to is Success Has Made A Failure Of Our Home. I like it better than Loretta's version. Just read the police in England (where she passed away) do not think there it was drug related or anything suspicious.
  13. If you know what your doing it is. I’ve wired many guitars. Like I said if your unsure about what you are doing take it to a pro.
  14. Do you not remember being born or Lauderdale? Both?
  15. If we ever meet up make sure to keep that guitar in the case. I don’t want to touch it. Happy another trip around the Sun.
  16. It’s called Standard in the title. Then they call it a Studio in the description. Either it’s a typo or Gibson doesn’t know what they make. Hey marketing guys and add exec’s stop taking 3 martini and 4 joint lunches.
  17. She was 56 https://apple.news/Az6xHkeaIShS5nXWsWr1URA
  18. I did it once and I think punishing the guitar I got about a volt. Now I only play acoustics.
  19. It all does start at the pickup, being a coil or the L. That is the entire reason you electric guitarist need an amp. When strumming real hard you may produce a volt or so. Why in the hell did they chose L for inductance anyway?
  20. What's the return window on a Russian Bride? Do you need an RMA?
  21. All my 15 Series Martin's were Satin. One good thing, you don't polish them unless you want to never have it satin ever again. And No No and No, 18's and higher need to be gloss. I wish Martin would stop following the stupid trends, and do what they are good at. Stop with the guitars that are new and are supposed to look like they are from the '30's. They have so many models its ridiculous.
  22. Here is the deal with buying something on the internet. You have a good experience doing it until you don't. Steve Ford certainly know that first hand.
  23. Agree. I use a little bit of steak sauce on mine when I'm a rebel.
